If it was up to me Nylander would be a healthy scratch next game to send a message. He was buzzing at the start of the year but the last while he's been floating around and completely disengaged.

Is it really that hard for people to understand momentum in sports? That type of goal deflates teams and makes you squeeze your stick tighter and play less free if you believe that your goalie has lost it again . It also makes it a lot easier for a team to defend a 2-0 lead especially a defensive minded team.

Not sure I ever put blame on Fred in any of my post, just stating that a goalie that gives up a soft/weak goal in ever elimination game should have just as much to prove as any player, coach or GM.
And as I stated in another post I would not be confident in a goalie like Lehner for the same reasons that I do not trust Fred or Soup.
In big moments they need to be the guy the team can count on. AM34 and MM are in the same boat they need to prove they can win and score in the PO. If Fred gives up a weak goal for Caroline in a elimination game and its the 4th goal and they lose 4-2 do you think people would question Fred or say the Canes didn't score enough? We traded Kadri because of his suspension in the playoffs and what happened with the Avs? Do you think people will care if he scores 100pts in the reg season and gets a suspension again? No it will be about the suspension

Do you understand the bad angle goal came with only 10 mins left in a game we were being shut out in ? And yes of course it would have been much easier to try to come back from only 1 down but the way people act is like he gave up that goal in the first in a tie game .

it would have also been nice if our 11m dollar Captain could have scored into an empty net from 5 feet out but let’s not dwell on that because Johnny’s special and above any criticism

Not sure you have read my post on this but I have not blamed Fred for the loss but said he is a good goalie that gives up soft/bad goals in elimination games. I have also noted that AM34 and MM need to be better in the PO, I wouldn't want Lehner for the same reasons that I don't trust Fred or Soup and until Naz completes the PO without a suspension no team will care about his reg season if he score 100pts.
Fans of other teams will say the same about their castoff players....its what fans do
 
I think we should all step back and take a look at the bigger picture here. Forget the specific efforts of specific players, or the ups and downs of specific players. It is irrelevant. There are holes on this team, and they are not in one place. Over recent years, I believed, this year, I have been skeptical. Why? Too many things missing. It is difficult to focus on one. Weak third line, relative to the past? Yes. Unstable goaltending? Yes. Bad trades and signings? Yes, too much of the time. But the real issue for me, the glaring problem, is our defense -- the same problem forever. Half of our defense are AHL defensemen. Holl, slow, Dermott, too jittery, Sandin, mistake prone, Lillegren, well, just not good enough. Dubas has made bad decisions at the trade deadline, horrible decisions. But a major influence defensemen has to happen. There is no hope without that. The defense is the connective tissue of the team, and this defense too often sucks at both ends of the ice.
 
I wish Kadri had never left, and also think the blaming of him for playoff losses is ridiculous -- and suspicious. There is a racial prejudice issue under the surface there. His hit last year that led to a suspension would have been judged as fair if it was Tom Wilson, who gets away with murder. Why? Well, Tom is a "good Canadian boy." It is disgusting.

One thing about Kadri no one ever mentions, is his play making ability. He always had an eye for the open man, and the skill to deliver strong assists. He's not Mitch, but he is better at that than Tavares.....

Plenty of blame to go around for playoff losses and Kadri deserves his fair share.

Relax people. This one totally on Keefer. No b*lls to take heat himself. It is only 1 game. In a season means very little. Da guy Keefer has been screwing around past few games and this one he made really stupid calls. I can't even blame Sandin. He is a kid. He was setup to fail. Put kid on top pair. Put kid on wrong side. Play him with another offensive dman. It was a complete f*ckup by Keefer. Any hockey guy with any sense of defense knows it was all on Keefer. I bet Dubie asked him to try it so he could see possibilities. Spreadsheet guys never know. Why it h*ll would you put a kid who is very slow and small it that spot. Of course you are gonna make him look like an AHLer.

Putting this on tender another stupid call by numbers guys. Numbers guys are just that pretty much useless at decision making on all fronts. You listen to them and then do da right thing. And I am a CA now CPA.

Bright side is Keefer realized Dermy has been his best defender past week or so, with Brodie, before he got sick. Down side Holl went back to his usual useless self. Even Brodie could not fix that mess.

Spezza’s offensive instincts are wasted on the 4th line and JT gets a big bodied player to play with at his pace

I think you're being a bit too sensitive here. It's not fair to blame a playoff series on any one player but Kadri's not the only who's been mentioned in that way. Keefe, Andersen, Dubas, Campbell, Marner ... the list goes on and on. When a series goes 7 games, it's fair to say that if any one player/coach/GM had gone this or that a bit differently, that could have made the difference. To say that one person should shoulder all the blame on the other hand is not fair but like I said, if you think Kadri's the only one that's been singled out like that, you are wrong.

Thank goodness it is not up to you.
Reilly has been sleeping for a week, goalies have been awful, Engval, Spezza, Simmons haven't been in a game for weeks and you suggest benching a 50 point guy who has a center who cannot find the goal for a month. Hmmmmm
