This was again another way to dumb down and not be A REAL TAKER........................ takers take what they want. We should have rewarded our human beings back at the arena and the whole crowd. JUST LIKE OTHER TEAMS in the league DID. Why is we not doing that? We are not wanting it like other teams do.

This was not the way to go. We did not reward our human beings and fans and crowd back.

Way to get your fans back........... At last. Other great players reward them human beings back and not live like this. This is alarming. A reality check also, now I remember the core. The core the core the core. Like the major says. How's the estrogen or testosterone levels would someone else say.

Buffalo played a great game, credit to them, Cozens and Dahlin looked really good, even Mittelstadt was noticeable in a good way. I hope they turn it around.

Ugly game, bad loss, zero entertainment value.

I suppose Mitch, Mikheyev, Lyub and Engvall looked good.

It's hard to blame Mrazek for tonight but what's a guy gotta do to get a save here? I heard someone imply something to that effect quite loudly after Skinner got Buffalo's 4th.

In this 'soft stretch' of schedule, the Leafs have lost, and lost big, against the two worst teams they've played.

Every team has bad games, even Tampa and Colorado and Florida, but to pull 0 points from 31st ranked Montreal and 29th ranked Buffalo while getting outscored 10-3 is deeply troubling.

Either they aren't prepared to play, or they figure 'f*** it, were in and playing Tampa or Florida anyways'.

Montreal and Buffalo completely contained the Leafs - there was no goalieing happening.

It was all just so...unnecessary.

Sitting Liljegren was unnecessary.

Starting Mrazek was unnecessary.

The wacky D randomizer was unnecessary (Rielly-Sandin...the f***?!)

Simmonds, Spezza, Dermott and Kerfoot have become wholly unnecessary.

Getting two more points to keep pace with the Florida teams, though, that was necessary.

there i fixed it for you

A few things:

- Tavares situation is getting extremely concerning
- Goalies are very concerning too
- I really don’t know what Simmonds brings to this team. He’s truly useless
- Sure can’t really blame the goals on Mrazek. Not like Campbell versus detroit but you would still like to see him make a save that he “shouldn’t” make. Like at some point he’s got to steal a save or two

I posted the following at the end of the GDT in response to someone suggesting that “good” teams don’t lose to “bad” teams.
Florida lost 6-2 to these sabres not long ago and lost to Columbus last week right after we did. Every team has stinkers
Tampa lost 5-1 to the ducks recently and two months ago, got shut out by the Sens & Sabres earlier on in the year.
Carolina lost to detroit last night, got beat by the Sens a few weeks ago, got a 7 spot put up on them vs Jersey and got shut out 6-0 by Columbus in mid January. They’ve also lost to the kraken, flyer and Sens again.
The Avs have been beat by Columbus twice, the Sens, Arizona and Dallas like three times who are middling at best.
I get it, it sucks living through in the moment and sucks to watch but bad teams beat good teams often enough in hockey you can’t sweat it

ill chalk this one to the 60-10-10 rule .........

there are 10 games a year that you will just lose because the whole team played like garbage ........ there are litterally no positives to take away, the offense was putrid and how hey generated "2.5 xg" today is beyond me.

hit the reset button for next game with the proper D core and get back out there.

actually i ike lybushkin today ... hes really impressed me

Well that effort sucked. And goaltending continues to sputter.

Poor Sandin.

Can’t say I was a fan of Keefe’s decisions tonight. Im all for experimenting but those D pairing should have been revsised after the second. Also why break up Rielly and Brodie of all pairs? Brodie hasn’t played the left side in ages and it showed.

Also should have mixed up the top two lines after 2.. both were flat.

Just a rare bad game from the big guns. Frustrating since it was the first in front of a full arena.

But man Meazek couldn’t make a big save tonight either
