3 of 4. Can't complain, it was fun hockey.

On to the next.

I want Boston is the first, I hope it happens. It has nothing to do with who is easier opponent, I think we just need that monkey off our back... what happens after that, could be history.

While I'm not too surprised with seeing the winning streak coming to its end, it was still tough to witness the manner in which it all went down. The point earned from this is at least better than nothing at all.

It wasn't embarrassing in terms of they got lucky for 5 minutes to begin the second.

Everyone who knows hockey knew it would be a struggle for the second half of this game coming off a back to back.

Leafs could have locked it down much better but unraveled with Kallgren flubbing a slap shot on the SH and then getting hurt. Causing a cold Jack Campbell to come in.

Tavares and Holl looked bad.

Really bad.

This team needs to get its collective head out of its ass.

1st line can't be the only reliable line out there every single night.
Seriously? Head of their ass? They just threlashed Tanpa, Boston, Florida while beating Carolina and then lost on a penalty filled night in OT to one of the best teams in the league on a back to back.

Horrible way to lose but my goodness..

No way does any NHL coach have more embarrassing chokes than Keefe since he entered the league.

Probably getting close to enough material for a solid sports center top 10.

Still proud of the boys regardless of the loss. Defence was not good tonight and goaltending was poor. Get some rest and be ready for Dallas.

I didn’t like Tavares getting caught out on the OT shift though. That was a bit of a problem and we got too fancy trying to manage the faceoff win.

You really want people to join you with your sky is falling shtick but it's just not happening pal. Move on.
Nope. I've simply been negative about Toronto's ability to play with multi-goal leads all year and this was another example of why. They simply give up too much (between poor goaltending and poor team defensive structure) when they have these comfortable leads.

Those are the type focus / compete issues that lead to 3-1 series lead collapses (see last year). People are focused on the 3/4 points. I'm more concerned about the big picture and what these type of collapses lead to when the games really matter. Habits die hard.

I'm blaming Tavares for 63 ish minutes, not just the OT. Like he's a shell of himself. Can't control the puck, can’t make quick decisions, is practically a non-option 5v5. Everything about him is slow as molasses. And Nylander gets stuck with him all game. I understand why sometimes he can't be arsed.
Sure he looked pretty questionable but I don’t blame him for the collapse at all. He scored the tying goal and had our best look in OT. But I agree with your overall statement theres no way he should’ve been on for 23 mins in a B2B he was skating in quick sand covered in a bog tonight

chalk it up to fatigue, lesson learnt not to mess with what was working + few panther's horse shoes, and move on to the next.

Good news: we got a point & Marchand & gang lost :thumbu:

To add to this, I think only a handful have a better winning percentage, I wonder which is more important.

Agreed they could have won this. They should have managed the game better at that point. That's alot in coaching for me.

nvm it was just one fan, they seem level headed. it's the teams who weren't playing in the game who's fans like trolling
Are they from Edmonton by chance? There's a pretty big group of Oiler fans here that practically cream themselves when we lose. Hell a couple guys on their board celebrated Auston being a -1 on the Kucherov face-off goal last night lol.

Honestly anyone saying we got 3/4 points or that we were on a back to back need to stop. WE HAVE TO STOP f***ING BLOWING DAMN LEADS!

This has been happening for FAR too long. This will NEVER cut it in the playoffs.
