They had played also 3 in 4 nights. No need for Leafs fans to go full excuse mode. Sometimes you just have to take your bitter loss and swallow it.
Well take your own advise there. It's not even bitter. So, we lost. You make it sound as if all these team come back all the time which is not the case. Most of the time when they are down to the leafs they lose.

Entertaining game. That’s all I care about right now. We can beat these guys, Tampa, Boston, etc. I’m not worried. Bring the playoffs on.

Bunting has been horrible in my opinion lately. Missing point blank chances, over skating the puck, dumb o zone penalties… obviously love the chippyness he brings but he needs to be better.

Yes the same team DID NOT come back. And if they fall 5-1 to us in the playoffs they can go fishing early! Almost everything has to go their way to come back. Even a missed call on what would have been a tap in for us. What you fail to understand that, this game Florida was more lucky then they were good. Got the bounces, catch a team on back to back on the road.
Lucky? The highest scoring team in the league who has a history of big comebacks is anything but lucky.

Gotta admit, I thought we had this at 5-1. Lol.

Upside is we didn’t give up after 5 unanswered goals and tied the game for a point.
We could have just as easily won tonight… we can beat these guys over 7 games.
We *can* but I trust their offense more than ours, and if I had to pick between Bobrovsky / Knight or Campbell / Kallgren to steal a game or two, I'd bet on their tandem. I also think they're missing an incredibly important piece in Ekblad, while we have basically our best group playing right now.

We can definitely beat them, but I'd certainly give them the edge in a number of ways.

The atmosphere was amazing, electric. Counter chants let's go Panthers countered by go leafs go. Great game, the crowd was super loud. Sucks we couldn't pull it out but leafs were dog tired in the third. The leafs couldn't win a face off in the 2nd half. That said I'm not sure how it looked like n TV but it was really a coin flip who won. Soup made some good saves. And really the difference was a rookie mistake on the Gouda's goal from the blue line. Holl was burned way too much. I agree boosh need to slot in. Gio and lily solid solid game Riley have some weak moments. And muzz was pretty good but seems a tad slow coming back for a few picks in there own end, might just be the time off. Matthews had some good looks but seemed to a bit off, didn't quite have the snap in his shot. Over all a great game considering all the big games they played recently. I'll take the point.

Most, as in 99% of the time, that any contending team has an opponent down 4 goals, they win the game. That's why this is a rare, "Leafy" thing to do. One worth complaining about for sure!

This is my fault, I said they were looking good and the d looked good then Kallgren decided he would have no more of that rubber thing hitting him anymore, ouch that hurt.

How did we lose that game….

This is gonna be a long two days till Dallas, hopefully we win

Well you can't say our team isn't interesting 😂

The goaltending wasn't flash and JT had a tough night but I'm not going to go after Holl

He's been good since Muzzin got injured and it wasn't his decision to play them together again

3 out of 4 in Florida in b2b nights, I'll definitely take that

it would be great to see a statistic of which team has blown the most multi-goal leads in the past 5 years. The Leafs are probably at the top of that list. There simply is no safe lead when it comes to Toronto.

I'd wanna see these forward lines next game

Bunting-Matthews-Marner
Mikheyev-Tavares-Engvall (Interested to see how the Mikheyev/Engvall winger duo does with JT instead of Kampf as their centre)
Kerfoot-Kampf-Nylander (JT/Nylander chemistry looks finished but Kerfoot/Nylander chemistry has looked strong away from JT's line)
Clifford-Blackwell-Simmonds (looked good in the Tampa game)

Someone posted earlier 33-1-3 when leading into the 3rd period. Doesn't seem like a team that blow a lot of leads.
This fanbase has been collectively gaslighted into believing this team has a problem with blowing leads.

On the contrary, this team is one that routinely comes back from defects and wins games.

By reading these takes and applying the same standard to every other team in the east, I can deduce that NO team is coming out of the conference.

Was there too. Quite a Rollercoaster.... ffs

New Jersey. Exactly the team that I want to Toronto to be in the conversation with lol...

So much focus on Florida being excellent at coming back. Toronto should be good enough to hold onto a 4 goal lead, in a game in which they chase the opposition's starting goalie and they get 7 powerplay opportunities.
It happens to the best teams. Recency bias and confirmation bias make it seem like only the Leafs do this.

The Leafs have been really good at holding leads this year. Record speaks for itself.

This is the greatest and worst part of fandom. Living and dying with every game/period/shift.

Gotta love sports!
