As of now? yes Dubas is better than Lou. Lou has been irrelevant for a long time now. The Islanders were awful last year. I'd rather whatever we have now than what Lou has given the people of Nassau.

You didn't read a damn thing about what I said in terms of Covid. You've paid attention to nothing. They had actual success last year. If you have the best season ever, you have to have a lot of successes. Playoffs aside, you don't have a regular season and hart winner without that kind of success.

I never blamed the fans.
He's better than Lou?

ANd you wonder why nobody takes you seriously? BAHAHAHA.

I really hope you didn't say that with a straight face.

Would it have anything to do with the moves the GM made?

No, I think it has more to do with Toronto Sports media being perpetually negative and getting the fanbase to buy it. Negativity sells. That's why they do it. People as a whole general sense just cannot think for themselves.

It's why Kerfoot is so hated right now for no particular reason. It's a bunch of bleating.

Respect for your perspective. That said, this is pro sports - all that matters is results. Dubas has none. Lou is a winner.

I took joy from the little things my kids experienced from playing house league sports. Why I follow moneyball sports is to partake in the adult billion dollar business picture: high stakes and competing to win. Dubas is a proven loser. I wish he wasn't, but it's a fact.
Lou was a winner... 30 years ago. He is not the answer for us, and if it is not Dubas we do need someone with experience and a winning pedigree at GM and a hard-as-f***-nosed coach that will wring these privileged mfers into shape. And if they don't like doing things the right way, move-em.

NOTICE TO LEAF’S STAFF:

Comfort puppies will be available to all leafs players (except Marner) in the equipment room.
I wish I had a comfort puppy on game nights... that would be da bomb! Hmmm, business opportunity?

at least they gifted us a point with that disallowed goal
That's impossible. Everyone here knows that the refs and the video review team always screw the Leafs. They have never once in the last 35 years made a call in our favour.

The man trying to exorcise 6 playoff failures is referring to last year as proof of ability?
The mentality of these guys is totally fried. I'm reminded of the walrus macclean in the all or nothing saying these guys have a closet full of skeletons. Really think we need to do a pretty major reboot here this atmosphere is not conducive to sustained success.

When is the last time Lou won? 2003? There's kids playing in the NHL who weren't alive for his last cup win. He's irrelevant at this stage. He's an all time great GM. There's a reason NHL teams aren't clamouring to hire Mike Keenan and Bob Hartley. Their time has come and gone. Lou as well.

He caused a lot of problems here.

Lou has won 6 playoff series in the same time Kyle has been GM.

Team is so depressingly soft. Both physically and mentally. Same shit year after year.

My god Dubas has assembled the softest roster known to man
Soft and Slow

You can maybe get away with one but to have both is a death sentence.

Kadri needed to go. He literally cost the Leafs in the playoffs cross checking a guy in the head and making the most selfish play I've seen a Leaf make since Domi elbowed Neidermayer against the Devils.

Instead of getting even the right way, he chose selfish. He did in the next year in Colorado again. He needed to go.

Spezza was fine. Gio was a good move. Simmonds has been fine for his role.

Dubas hasn't ruined anything. You want that to be the narrative. But you don't ruin something if you have the best regular season in a teams 100+ year existence. Would it be nice if they won a round? Yes. But Nonis never gave them that chance. He couldn't even get this franchise to first round loss.

Have we forgotten Kadri making dumb moves three playoffs in a row? The guy was a liability every damn playoff with Toronto. Last year doesn't change that. He's an idiot.
By not performing to their regular season standard not to mention turning on that switch in the playoffs like other top players in the league, our top guys should be traded according to the he cost the Leafs the playoffs theory.

Funny how Kadri suspension is the sole or main reason the Leafs didn’t advance that year when he was literally the fifth or sixth best forwards on the team behind AM, MM, JT, Willie and even Hyman.
Even if Kadri has to go, Dubas should had made a better trade then the one he did.

Did I say Nonis is better than Dubas? Pretty sure i didn’t. Also, half the teams in the league made it to the playoffs each year, it should not be something to celebrate esp if you have three of the top 7 salaries in the league. If each of those three guys play 20 mins a night, it means the opposing team will always be playing against one of the top 7 highest paid player in the league for the whole game. If that team still doesn’t make the playoffs, it just means those three guys are way overpaid. The fact that the Leafs made it to the playoffs is really the minimum requirement when you have 3 of the top 7 highest paid players on the team.

At this stage of the game, yes. Lou's time is gone.

All time? No, Lou is much better. He hasn't had major success in like what? A decade? Lets not act like he had major success in a long long time. He hasn't.

Lou hasn't won anything with a salary cap so I do not see how he would be any better.

If Dubas is not the answer, it does not mean Lou comes anywhere close to being one either. He has cost us major assets with his mismanagement; far exceeding anything Dubas has done.

There are no banners for series wins. I am talking ultimate winning. Cups.

I am not arguing Dubas has created a losing culture here... impossible to disagree with that statement. Six years qualifies as a culture to me.

Lou has a code for life and has won Stanley Cups.... He also won the gm of the year twice in a roll just now... Two years straight. As an 80 year ol dinosaur. I cant have more respect for that man. Dubas has not learned much from him. That's weak in my books. We need more old vets. Old school thinkin. We dont f*** with New figures cause New figures is fools.

We need changes whether thats a new coach(this isn't on Keefe but something needs to happen) or perferably a core shakeup(not Nylander)
