He had chances throughout the series to lay out D men and refused He takes up too much of the cap to not play a complete playoff game.

Nah, we'll probably trade Nylander and Reilly and retool around the others, and we'll lose again in the first round to questionable reffing and then it'll be "Is Marner or Matthews the problem?"

Then we'll end up with nothing but the corpse of John Tavares, and maybe tank for another superstar, not get it or get it and lose in the first round again due to questionable reffing and it'll be that player's fault.

14 shots in 2 periods including two powerplays, the fact we didn't see any line changes is insane. Hell we went a good 10 mins in the 2nd with no jump. Who to blame, I have no idea. However there should be major changes this offseason.

You cannot - i repeat - CANNOT overreact to a series like this. They did everything right and should have wrapped it in 6. But the league had other plans.

Leafs played a good series against a battled tested opponent but again our best players didnt really come thru when it mattered most.

We consistently look like the better team or even end up with the better advanced stats but cant actually win 7 games series where teams try to wear you down over two weeks and start to learn your tendacies. We were up 1 to 0, 2 to 1 and 3 to 2. You simply have to come thru and get it done at this point and our record in these winner take all or potential series ending games is laughably bad.

I wouldnt hate it if Dubas was brought back because he's done some things very well but I also wouldnt hate it if we decided to go in a different direction and would be curious to see how our team could look under a different persons vision.

Very good season and we lost to the champs but the reality might be that this current version just isnt built to win 4 rounds of intense, heavy playoff hockey.

Doesn't matter who the supporting cast is. PP disappears in playoffs. Random deadline pickup buries us in a game 7.

Refs, whatever... I don't know what direction they go from here. Running it back is absolutely insane though. Sucks to be Dubas right now. Sucks to be anyone related to Leaf anything right now, again.

There really wasn't any chances if you look at it. They completely shut us down for the entire game. It's the same thing over and over again with these guys.

Outside us opening up early in the third, there wasn't much either way. The Marner miss and thr Holl penalty are the big missed opportunities. They scored on an awkward bounce and a missed holding call thay was still a meh chance

We lost because we didn’t separate Marner from Matthews. Next year from camp it’s Marner with Tavares and Matthews can carry a line.

We tried Marner with Tavares in the postseason before and they both were to slow to get the puck past the neutral zone before getting caught by defenders.

It is very tiring to see all these drop passes and stick checks, we do not have a team capable of winning in a tough mans hockey league. Stop with the social justice warrior crap and get players that actually know how to body check.

Big changes are needed Nylander out, Marnier out, Kerfoot out, bring in Big mentally unstable in your face hockey players

Crazy, but I'm not even disappointed. It's called learned helplessness.
Tampa doesn't lose game 7s, Toronto doesn't win them. (The same goes for playoff series).

The only thing now I'm curious about is what happens in the off-season. Dubas has to answer for how his blueprint for success has been a complete and total failure. 6 straight first round exits, 3 of the last 4 they blew a 3-2 series (and against Montreal a 3-1 lead).

They'll clean house. Retool. Well buy jerseys, tickets, etc.
Another desperate American city will win a cup.
Gary will put a team in Louisiana and Missouri.
We'll support said team while getting completely f***ed by Gary and his friends.
Our management and players will continue to no comment their way to nothingness.

I honestly just have nothing left. I actually miss being shitty and having no hope.
At this point I hope not a single one comes back. Not one of them. It's not even pain anymore it's just annoyance. I just despise the lot, the league, a good portion of our fanbase who will now spend the summer telling us how stupid we are for supporting the team and honestly being right about it.
