Leafs definitely made some mistakes but man Jack can't meltdown like that.

Good chances sure but he was there for all of them and just plain missed them.

Ah well streak had to end. Not a shocker it came against the one team that has a better xgf% than us (well...before tonight at least).

We did only score 2 which is below league average. Score less than three and you deserve to lose.
Considering only 1 of those goals should’ve Went in. Let’s even say 2 went in. Campbell has a .920 and we head to overtime. He got beat on league standard shots 4 times not much you can do there

Keefe is going to nitpick some things to take the heat off of Campbell, but everyone in the locker room (including Campbell) knows this one falls on him.

You will win in the playoffs with that team performance. You won't win anything with that goaltending performance.

What game did you watch that we were bad from top to bottom? We out played them for a good chunk of the game, outshot them 47 to 26, had good opportunities to score, the difference in the game was Markstrom was far better then Campbell was tonight, that was the difference in tonight's game

I will agree that dressing 11F and 7D is terrible, but Keefe can't do anything about that because of the cap system, Toronto can't afford to call anyone up to replace Simmonds for this game.

People need to stop equating shot count with playing well. Our shots were primarily crap, low danger chances.

Weak perimeter shots with no traffic will never win us games, especially in the playoffs.

Campbell was bad, but what he faced was much more difficult than anything Markstrom had to do tonight.

That was a **** kicking.

Looks like Campbell is done. He is bad now. Like actually a bad goaltender. No way this team wins with him. Trash.

We put up 50 shots, dominate the whole game; Campbell puts in his worst performance of the year; they throw a couple hits; we lose our first game in weeks; "ohhh no the Leafs are in trouble come playoff time!" ... some people are wild man

This is a much bigger over-reaction than people who showed concern over this loss.

Campbell has been bad for a significant sample now. Explain how we're not in trouble come playoff time if he doesn't get decent?

If we go out early again this year I hope our new gm asks jt and muzzin to waive, they are really bad lately.

Long winning streak...playing part of the game with ten forwards...it happens. Full credit to Markstrom for the performance and to Sutter for going back to him.

Our 2nd pair needs to be rebuilt with actual good defensemen and our 2c needs to find his game or waive for a trade.

Might sound as a hot take, but oh man, our robot captain surely can inspire the team. Make hit, join the scrum…at least make an inspiring play. Zero, nada. Sadly not much expected from him in playoffs. And no need to post stats in his defence, as a captain material he is no good.

.920 is also well above league average.

For the quality of defense we gave Campbell for much of that game, a .920 was not unreasonable.

An .800 is simply unacceptable based on how we played in front of him.

It's not as bad as receiving .800% goaltending on the night. That's why they lost, no other reason... at.... all.

True, absolutely Campbell was bad, but the saves he did make were far more difficult than anything Markstrom had to do tonight.

Might we have rallied without that third backbreaker that was a puck any NHL goaltender would save? Maybe.

But saying this game was good enough and blaming Campbell only is a cop out.
