Not much to say about this one. Pretty bad top to bottom.

A high number of weak shots from the perimeter is not how you win games, you get zero points for outshooting the other team. Campbell was bad, but he faced more high danger chances than Markstrom did until the game was already over in the third. We simply made it stupidly easy for him.

Keefe - No more 11F 7D, just stop. We're always terrible when you do that as the lines become a mess.

Also might not want to replace your only grit with nothing when expecting a gritty team.

Lots of chances on offense. Campbell didn't give them a chance though and he's been unreliable for a month.

Dubas has to address some bottom end grit, look at the shit guys like Ritchie were getting away with. No one except Simmonds and Bunting does that.

not an encouraging game from jack, muzzin, holl, and JT is really getting on my nerves now. when was the last time he won us a game like matthews or willy or marner has? he doesnt look like a captain or an 11 million dollar player anymore and tbh hasnt in a long time.

but this team has been historically good since the 3rd week of the season so not gonna freak out too much, i turned it off in the 2nd and im glad i did lol.

Flames was physical and played great for 10mins.
Have to admit, Backlund is pretty good.

Not much to complain about. One of the best contrast in style games this season. Tonight the Flames style won out.

- Leafs played pretty well most of the night, they just came up short on class in the finishing department tonight.

- Markstrom was excellent, as you'd expect. Campbell was shaky again and the Flames were pretty opportunistic on the counter attack and their D-men played a really nice game, IMO.

- I liked the effort and compete in the 3rd period, despite being out of the game.

- Calgary's size and physicality is fun to watch. They took plenty of liberties on our soft lineup tonight.

Take that 3rd period with you to Vancouver and start fast!

What game did you watch that we were bad from top to bottom? We out played them for a good chunk of the game, outshot them 47 to 26, had good opportunities to score, the difference in the game was Markstrom was far better then Campbell was tonight, that was the difference in tonight's game

I will agree that dressing 11F and 7D is terrible, but Keefe can't do anything about that because of the cap system, Toronto can't afford to call anyone up to replace Simmonds for this game.

Goaltending is a very real issue, and our lack of heart when things get heavy. This was an embarrassing loss.

First two posts were already big exaggerations...

Not their best game, but definitely nowhere near their worst. Outshot CGY nearly 2-1 and they were playing fairly good until they had the mini meltdown.
