Went all Tampa's way .. it happens. Pretty even season series and the bad blood in this game will lead into a nice playoff series.

Missing Matthews, can't really look too much into this one .. a one-off shitshow that hasn't happened much this year. They've been on a roll, beating good teams lately.

Feel for Kallgren .. He was stellar in the 1st and then fell apart. Of course he didn't get much help.

The "tonight's game is/was meaningless" takes may want to be revisited if tonight helps Tampa out of their recent funk & gets them geared up for the playoffs.

Inexcusable Leafs effort tonight, regardless of how little importance tonight's game had attached to it.

I think it's a pretty safe bet that the back to back cup champs would find a way out of their slump before playoffs started

Game was closer than the score, but still got outplayed.

The good from this game is I think we look tougher than Tampa, they have a bunch of pretenders, but no one who actually wants to do anything, if this is the series, keep Simmonds and Clifford in

Be prepared to see the same game plan in game #1. They are going to try to intimidate our skilled players.

They have no shortage of small skill guys. If they want to get crazy both teams have a lot to lose.

It was so f***ing obvious the refs were trying to bait a leaf player into doing a suspendable play via retaliation.

My god I hate NHL officiating so f***ing much.

We need to have Walkom removed as head of officiating. If not for straight up fixing games, then at least because hes f***ing inept at his position.

Off night where everything went wrong and without key players in the lineup.

Kallgren was great early on but yeah... Leafs just had a horrible night after a decent start.

I wouldn't read too much into this one.

Pretty much sums it up. As bad as the Leafs were though, this game wasn’t 7 goals difference bad. Goaltending was a problem in the 2nd and 3rd periods. PK needs to be a lot better. You could tell after the leafs were down by a 5, and then got the match penalty, they just didn’t have anything left for fight offensively in the game. Did not get pushed around at all though

Good game to get some anger in the blood before the playoffs. We dumped them last time the teams met, they take this one. Lets see how it goes next time with our best player and starting goalie.

Don’t know how to feel…I really don’t want to care given I don’t see this game meaning too much without Matthews and Campbell playing. BUT it should have been respectable, this was so ugly that it forces you to be atleast a bit concerned. My hope is that this will be used as motivation where they get angry and destroy Tampa in the playoffs in game 1 (likely opponent)

Personally, I think this game is a good reminder and wake up for the boys. I would pin this game headlines in the locker room and let the whole team to see until they beat them in round 1.
