Matthews coming 1 shy of 70 and hitting that many posts, crossbars and missing that many semi-open nets is about as Leafy as it gets...

Such an ominous, but completely expected result for the Leafs to come that close to something the hockey world values, and to fall flat. Especially against a backup goalie, with entire team trying to feed you chances.

On to the playoffs.
