Calgary signed Markstrom as a FA around $6 mill. I’m sure there are solid #2 C’s in in the 5-6 mill range.

And you know for a fact that Markstrom would have chosen Toronto instead of Calgary?...... Did you know that Markstrom is actually older than Tavares and has more years left on his contract.

So simmonds, our moafuccckin killa, took out perry, their best player no? Perry aint playing anymore in these games no? Perry , who accidintalty took out tavares last year. aaaight. I'm aaaight. Respect.
I will never understand why this allowed?

That wasn’t his question though. He asked who was out there in that price range as a FA, which Markstrom was.

Another low IQ guy potential to burn us is Mikheyev. He's doing nothing out there it only looks like he is because he has legs. Last game could have cost us with dumb penalties. This game he wouldn't even crack Tampas top 9 the way he played yet he had second liner usage on our team.

Don't fall for high xGF% the xGF component is more telling. Didn't generate anything. Tavares is taking the blame for Mikheyev running around useless this game. Tavares is high IQ elite player put him back with Nylander and give them Bunting. Kerfoot looked fine on top line.
mikheyev just doesn't pass the eye test for me. he folds to playoff checking. he's fast and might be good on the PK but that's it.

Spezza was the guy who stuck up for Sandin.
Yes against Neil Pionk. I love Spezza and the leadership he shows but I'm talking somebody to keep Maroon and Perry honest. Spezza doesn't move the needle there.

They're still gonna be rats but having Simmonds breathing down your neck after every whistle is a big price to pay

Really? You haven't noticed that your PP goes to sleep in the PP? Really Keefe?

What are 1/10 on the PP? Straighten that shit out already.

And are Dubas and Keefe ever going to grow a set of balls and call this reffing out? What are they f***ing worried that they're not gonna be fair or something? TAKE A f***ING LOOK YOU GUYS, IT CAN'T GET ANY WORSE!

Bunting. Matthews. Marner
Blackwel.Tavares. Kase
Engvall. Kampf. Soup
Spezza. Kerfoot. Nylander

I would try that 4th line against the Perry line and just fly past them
That L4 would actually be pretty sick but damn hard to deploy minutes like that

I wonder how people can watch that game and think JT is at fault. Not even Marner can make something out of what Mikheyev brings against top teams like Tampa. JT was rock solid in the defensive zone as well and elite on the draw.

Shelter Mikheyev for his one man straight line shows and bring up Nylander so the play can become more strategic. Low IQ play that runs off adrenaline and base instincts isn't going to beat a team like Tampa.

Engvall was pretty poor today, Mikheyev too. Liljegren had a rare subpar game but was great game one, Simmonds was the worst player on the ice.

Marner, Matthews, Kerfoot, Kampf (less the brain fart), Bunting, Muzzin, Brodie and Rielly all look fantastic.

Campbell, Tavares, Nylander, Blackwell, Kase, Giordano, Lyubushkin have all kind of just been *guys*, neither good nor bad.

Realistically, I would just reunite Kerfoot/Tavares/Nylander and the MKE line, especially without home ice advantage, but this may be good:

Bunting - Matthews - Marner
Kase - Kerfoot - Nylander
Blackwell - Tavares - Spezza
Mikheyev - Kampf - Engvall

you mean 3 years, right? RIGHT? (please for the love of god tell me I'm right)

Don't think the difference is that big. At least not as big as a difference between Tavares and Danault. You're also gambling on both players wanting to sign.
To be honest, I'd rather have about 40 other centre's than Tavares, which would free up for upgrades elsewhere. That's just my view. I'm 1000% against paying your 2nd line centre 11mil a year.

Stay. Out. Of. The. Box.
The penalty box is a one way trip and it was only for the least aggressive team 17 leafs 9 tampa and if you watched the game rather then just the score you would have seen the bias of the refs that over 2 game’s

I don't think they can let the Perry, Maroon, Bellemare clown show continue to have any factor out there. If they're out there, throw the first line out and put strength on the stooges.
What show though? They didn't do anything besides Perry freebie breakaway and Campbell freebie five hole.

The 3 of their goons combined for 1 hit. We had literally no reason to give in and take dumb penalties against them. They were a non-factor physically.
