Some of you are going to blame the refs. Refs are not the reason why we lost to them 3-1 or to Columbus

It's our lack of effort, our BS coaching. Simple as that

Every team plays their game and elevates, makes changes, tries something different, shortens the benches, not us

We depend on getting PPs, if it's not there, we are not there. We are always depending on Refs to bail us out

Put in the bloody effort, take the energy and game to the opposition then cry about refs

Bottom line is we lost, to the worst team in the league, when we needed the win in the standings.

Also - goaltending is a pretty important position in the NHL.

The Leafiest thing would be dominating Florida tomorrow. Although, Florida looks unreal this year.

Some people here, like in the GDT, will try to act like this was a debacle for the Leafs. It wasn’t. The Leafs were clearly the better team. They once again didn’t get great goaltending. And that game winner was complete garbage. Matthews would have been in that play if he hadn’t had his back skate clipped by the player skating behind him. That’s a clear trip

Since St Louis took over, the Habs have been a very different team .. a really good record IIRC. Not an easy win as it suggests on paper.
