Another game we should have won, but didn’t. The only player that annoyed me in this game, was Nylander. So skilled, but zero compete and effort out there. He frustrates me!

So was it or was it not the right call to not get a goalie at the deadline?

I swear 80% of this fanbase was adamant about needing a goalie but after the deadline they immediately flipped their opinion to it being perfectly OK for Dubas not to get a goalie..

The L doesn't even bother me. Dunno why. Nice and relaxed.

What has me annoyed is something else.

How do you stick handle backhand to forehand at the blue line without even crossing the blue line yet, with your line mates straight lining into the zone with you ? Follow up with the hand on heads "my bad".

I don't even need to list the player. You all saw it and said wtf to yourself, don't even lie.

Made an account to finally post this. I'm going crazy over here watching Marner & Matthews remain together.

Tavares best career season came playing with Marner. Why is this forgotten? Matthews could play with Engvall & Kerfoot and still put up 45 goals. There's a reason Sidney Crosby can play with any winger and get them a huge pay day... Take advantage of having the best player in the world?????

Tavares cannot drive a line. Marner can. Keefe, wake up

Leafs have acquired goaltenders in the past who have dominated the Leafs only to have them play like shit once they join the Leafs.

Dominating the Leafs as a goaltender is nothing new or unique. Virtually every starting and backup goaltender in the league has done it.

I wasn't talking about the Leafs. Allen's been really solid since he came to Montreal, and particularly all year this year, particularly during our miserable first half. It will take more than 1 year to see if he can be a legit starter again. But he may have turned his career around.

At any rate, I still think Price at 50% retained is the right move for You guys, Edmonton, Colorado, etc... any legit contender that could use elite playoff goaltending to try to grab that elusive cup.

Leafs are done.

Yeah, we aren't a serious cup contender at the moment against the NHL's best. In my mind, the best outcome of this season would be the firing of Dubas and Shanahan so we can get someone in here not afraid to make some changes and fix some mistakes, rather than just repeatedly going all in on the same hand every year.

Kerfoot?

Got goalied again, just like what’s gonna happen in round 01.

I disagree.

Our team is great at cycling, holding the puck, and getting the puck on the net. But outside of our top line, how often do we get passes to someone in a position to get a good shot off? Almost never. Our forwards (other than first line) have no chemistry and like 9/10 plays die by taking a weak shot into the goalie's chest from a bad angle.

Their goalie made a few great saves, no doubt, but the shots really don't tell much about actual scoring chances.

Frustrating game. I do not want Kerfoot on my 2nd line. I don't even know what to do with the forward lines. Maybe put Engvall and Mikheyev with Tavares? No idea.
