Did they test negative, then test positive again.

Somewhere I read the exit PCR test can test positive for up to 60 days.

I do know however you can catch a cold multiple times per year so if this strain has that simularity than maybe you can.

Which makes this all for nothing as we will never open up because it would just spread then.
One of guys who works with us got original covid in 2020 and now just got Omicron in 2022 but is his case it was just a flu with fever and hot/cold spells .. this is normal .. I am hoping to stay away from omicron .. some of us get it in our lungs which is a different issue when you can't breathe normally .. same virus but completely different symptoms

I'm just getting over omicron, it was tough. I did have flu like symptoms with a pounding migraine and felt like i had a few needles in my eyes but I literally couldn't breath the first few nights. Feeling much better now, but it really hits everyone differently. the first couple days were rough.. So it's tough to know what symptoms the players themselves are going through. I can also say my symptoms came on quickly after i tested positive

Feel for you man .. there is no worse feeling I have had in my life then when I could not breathe and had to grasp for air .. it really was an eye opener for me .. i have had migraines likely from concussions where I puked up my guts up .. no one likes them but it is all about pain management .. but not getting air into your lungs you sense death which is scary

Agreed. I remember coming over the blueline with my head down and getting knocked silly. After I came to, crawled on my knees to the bench and puked like crazy. Thought I was going to die.

Still no comparison to struggling to breathe

Id guess they just use the usual Tavares line as unit 1. No reason to mix up more lines than they need to.

I don't see Keefe playing Spezza in Matthews spot. They'll need to move Kerfoot back to center imo. Allows us to reunite the bottom six we've used most of the year and gives Mikheyev a reward/chance to build off a strong game on Saturdays. Makes the most sense to me.

If Matthews comes back positive this morning I expect the lines against Edmonton to be as follows:

Bunting-Tavares-Marner
Micheyev-Kerfoot-Nylander
Engvall-Kampf-Kase
Ritchie-Spezza-Simmonds

Holy crap……glad to hear you are feeling better. Hopefully you are all good going forward

When one player is out for one game, I prefer the least amount of disruption to the lineup.
I don't see the need to change all 4 lines for one game.

absolutely, there is nothing like it. I was terrified to sleep, that’s probably why I had migraines because I couldn’t rest, was too scared I wouldn’t wake up!

MOD WARNING: the is intended to discuss the context of how COVID is affecting the Leafs only - both players and the team's schedule. General COVID discussion will be deleted and, if it persists, warnings/threadbans will be given to keep the thread on topic.

Can someone post the latest on which Leafs are in the protocol and what the latest on the schedule is?
If only this could apply to every thread.

thanks man! I appreciate it, much better now! I was lucky enough not to get original Covid but I think my symptoms were bad because I had no antibodies besides being double vaxxed. Luckily it only lasted about 3/4 days. But still feel a bit congested in my chest & throat

I just hope none of the players are going through that too. I know JT did, but it absolutely sucks. & So I couldn’t even imagine having to play a full game a couple days after recovering! I’d be dead after a shift LOL

I thought Omnicron was less severe

me too but clearly it wasn't for me and I'm a perfectly healthy male in my mid 20's. obviously it affects everyone a bit differently
Covid affects everyone differently .. my doc told me so .. symptoms are completely different for everyone based on your health and immune system .. if you are like me and it attacks your lungs then you may not even get a flu or fever .. again everyone is different and you won't know until you personally get it .. only good news for me is it was completely gone in 4 days .. i was totally perfect 4 days later with no after affects

Congrats on recovering and limited symptoms. Our family had it. Three people had head/chest colds, two people it seemed like a stomach flu. One person nothing. Nobody very severe, but it really tires you out, and takes time to get the energy back. On the flip side, I know of people in the hospital. There will always be severe outcomes, though thankfully the average person, the affects "seem" to be less.

Let's hope Matthews PCR is negative, but I'm seeing far more Rapid test negative/PCR positive, than the other way around.

I thought Omnicron was less severe

As he said, it effects people differently. I currently have the new variant(I'm assuming anyways) running through about a dozen family members, I tested positive Sunday.

It's been extremely mild, my only symptoms have been a case of the sniffles as well as a mild cough.

The most severe symptom any of my family members have experienced has been a low grade fever, it's been extremely underwhelming and mild for everyone including my 81 year old Grandfather who suffers from COPD.

McDavid has tested positive as well.
Someone needs to start a PGT

Decided not to engage in this with swearing actually. But positive rapid, positive PCR. Went skiing with a group of 4 friends. One friend tested positive last Wednesday, on Thursday the other four of us tested positive on a rapid test and we all did PCR throughout the weekend we all tested positive again. 3 of us had symptoms like mine, 2 were asymptomatic. Cannot predict how it’s going to affect
I definitely would have swore.
