For those who struggle with counting higher than one, they have 2.
Has nothing to do with 'saving his job'.Dubas made a "save my job" deal.
The value is good but I doubt these two are going to be enough to push this team out of the division. If Campbell comes back and plays to the level we've seen earlier this year right through the playoffs, maybe. But considering he's a question mark and there are no other options in net available that look like anything more than lateral moves, another gamble based on faith in his core and little more.
For someone with the handle “cap fit” you’d think they’d at least have a handle on the situationUm.... no he didnt?
First of all, he cant bury Mrazek's 3.8, rather 1.2 something.
Second, Mrazek hasnt cleared waivers yet so his entire cap hit is still on the books.
Finally, the Leafs still have 1.9 mill after the deal.
But good try bud
Thats what happens when you are a contending teamWe seem to be trading for rentals all the time now.
Yep, I hadn't factored in the 3rd from Dermott.Technically they have 3, the condition on the 7th for Menell will not be met. Leafs keep the pick.
I guess Gio takes Sandin's spot on the PP
Not sure I'd be investing in any LD long term with Rielly and Sandin around
And at other times he's a flop flipper
Id argue thats the deepest LS in the league, assuming Muzzin comes back to form.
"Bleeding assets"I'm mixed on this one. I'd be unhappy if we gave up all of that just for Giordano but Blackwell is included and while he's not an impact player he should help. Giordano also helps obviously. Hopefully he can kick it up a gear to something like he used to be for the playoff run.
The longer term trend of bleeding assets continues but that's another discussion. If you're trying to win the Cup then you have to do something and the move helps the team now as the don't lose any significant active players (since Dermott wasn't playing much).
Any quarantine rules left for American players coming into Canada or can they step right in?

Holl for Brauntrade him or fire him into the sun, I am indifferent
I’d rather pay Morgan 7.5 than hampus 6.5 for the remainder of the decade, not even accounting for acquisition cost.Yup. Kinda sad that you have to spell it out though, because......narratives.
But I thought we were supposed to do things differently? We've got this mindblowing management team that will reinvent the game.Thats what happens when you are a contending team
You have no clue what you’re talking about and frankly if it wasn’t so annoying it would be kinda adorable5pm EST , let's see if you can figure that one out.![]()
But I thought we were supposed to do things differently? We've got this mindblowing management team that will reinvent the game.
Seems like we're just trying to catch up to other teams. Contenders don't get knocked out at the first hurdle every single year without fail
It’s kinda wild how many people are like that around hereAhh, youre being difficult for the sake of being difficult. Great personality trait!
RD is much more reasonable because of the options it gives you if Muzzin sticks around, especially with Brodie able to slide onto the left if Muzz does move on and you're short LDOn the premise Muzzin is close to done-zo than not... we will likely need a $6 million defenseman who is either LHD or RHD.
