Two are RD though and none of the LD I mentioned are comfortable on the right.

I can't see Muzz going anywhere unless it's Robidas Island
I can see muzzin quietly being asked to come up with a small list, all depends on how he comes back and plays

You guys will love Gio especially if you play him with Brodie. He isn't a #1 guy anymore but he can play in any situation and is a great leader. So happy to see him and Brodie together again, I really like this deal for you guys
I really like the idea of reuniting that pairing and rolling
Rielly lyubushkin
Gio brodie
Muzzin Holl
That’s 6 men on the blue line. I’m definitely more bullish on Sandin and Liljegren than most around here and legit see them as key contributors for the next decade, but having them start the post season watching from the box is only going to benefit them & the team.

Muzzin to ottawa in the offseason.

Muzzin is not going to OTT with a full NTC.

We might move Holl in the offseason and get a few good depth defensemen on the right side.

LD
Rielly
Muzzin
Giordano
Sandin (switches over to LD before we touch anyone below)

Rubins

RD

Maybe we move Muzzin after next year when he has a limited NTC. That is likely the depth chart next year if we are keeping Gio and moving Holl. The year after that, we will wait and see.

Like it so far.

Don't give up any first round picks - check
Don't give away any top prospects - check

Isn't that what anyone could hope for? Well gone Dubas, seeing the prices the past week or so had me nervous. Not bad at all.

Seattle received full value on a rental so Dubas didn't fleece them and they didn't do the Leafs any favours. The reality is that TB and Florida grossly ovrrpaid, this was clear.

Both payments make sense for where the teams are, one trying to threepeat the other to stock up on a very strong team that must win now.

IMO Leafs needed to.imrpove their D but they didn't need to force the issue with one.particuilar player. There were a few Plan B D Men as.far.as.I can see.in the market and Seattle showed some consideration for a veteran player. That goes a long way in atracting UFAs when players are unsure of how they will be treated. If Gio were 30, ok, squeeze all the juice you canbjt this is a different scenario.

Your right side is a little weak but that's 3 top 4 d men on the left (Rielly is a top 2 obviously) I really think you can roll 3 lines confidently
While I agree boosh isn’t exactly top 4 quality through and through he and Rielly have looked good and his mobility and defensive play really frees up Rielly and allows him to activate more in the neutral and offensive zones

don't mind the cost, as Dubas tends to trade back from his firsts resulting in recouping some picks especially considering some teams are sitting on multiple seconds in the upcoming draft who possibly might be willing to move up. the concern here is with the Gio losing 1/2 step or more and the opponents being Tampa or Fla, how exactly will he fair with playoff intensity ramped up ? can never be certain with a 38 year old who is showing signs of regression. Also, Muzzin comes to mind and his regression as a case study.
