Can't blame them tbh. When you don't hear anything that isn't praising the Leafs on TSN(rare sight), you have to question it because it goes against the Leafs.

By definition the refs were allowed to make that call. They don't usually call it if the players involved as 5 and 6 in the play don't retrieve the puck. Anyways, it was an acceptable but unusual call.

I would think so Batman. Been watching hockey a year or two now and don’t remember seeing it. Also cheap seems a better adjective that unusual but thanks for clearing it up. I assumed something similar.
