Agreed that Family Day should not affect it since immigration is federal, but today is also Presidents' Day in the U.S. and that might slow things down. Emphasis on the "might", since I do not know how much sharing of files, if any, there is between Canadian and American immigration departments. I also do not know what agreements the NHL may have in place with the immigration departments to expedite files of players who have been traded from one NHL team to another.

It's pretty funny, you look through the prediction thread and everyone has the Leafs winning most pretty comfortably.
You come in this thread and some are alluding to this being anything but a certain win.

I think, in reality, most feel the Leafs should win this game easily... but there is also an aura around the Leafs where they often times do not peform the way they are capable... it's just Leaf fan pessimism having dealt with nonesne like the 4-1 Boston collapse, the 18-wheeler off a cliff, missing out on McDavid when we had the best odds, losing to an absolute trash CLB team in the bubble 5 games series, losing to the practice goalie who is also a zamboni driver and of course losing to this same Habs team by blowing a 3-1 series lead just last season.

Again, we should win this game, we all know that, but if nonsense is going to happen we all know its going to happen to us. This iteration of the Leafs also continues a trend from seasons past where they play down (or up) to their opponents. In all liklihood Montembeault has the game of his life with 40+ saves and the Habs win in extra time.

Classic trap game. You know Habs will be motivated for this one like no other, and they have a bit of new confidence going at the moment.

Leafs should hammer them but they have to show up and make sure of it.

The Habs lines are a complete mess but this is what they went with last night at least:

Mr. .899% Mrazek is in net tonight. Our goaltending has been pretty terrible in 2022 except for maybe two or three games. I know it shouldn’t, but this game scares me, not sold on Mrázek. Leafs will have to spot him at least five goals if they want to win.

They always seem to play down to their opponents (and this is actually a trend going back to the Pat Quinn era), and they're especially bad against goalies they've never seen before. Wonder if it's because playing in Toronto is a dream of a lot of players, so they really gear up for playing us?

Damn errrtime that avatar picture of yours bottle lights up.... I want to drink during the maple leafs gezame sire. Now I will do that again with the plantation 69% tonight. Hard sire. Cigars is a must also, never see a leafs game without sire.

hey just be happy kampf is finally out of the negatives for the first time!

(he's actually had a healthy +0.7 gsva pace this year its his numbers from chicago that are holding him down, probably unfairly).
