zaitsev in his prime was the last guy we had that did this excellent. literally the sole reason that made babcock fall in love with him. holl is a massive downgrade.

Bogosian did it pretty well relative to how much he was paid and how much he got paid. Last year I posted some really nice examples of him just snuffing the forward out into the end boards and separating him from the puck, without taking an obstruction penalty. Just using some grown "man" strength.

We need a guy that can do that 18-22 minutes per night.

Vegas is not afraid to play Pietrangelo 29 mins

I don't know why Keefe doesn't do it with Matthews.. Doubleshift him in few lines as opposed to playing Ritchie / Clifford

because there is no point in burning Matthews out for what? Most defenseman are capable of playing that many minutes. It’s not normal for forwards as they are expending more energy

These last two third periods have been concerning

the leafs do great when things are going great. But there seems to be a problem when things falter for them, they really struggle to work out of it

just get the 2 points and get out of Vegas
