The amount of people whining constantly about this team being sh*t is extremely annoying.

Hard for any team to get anything going when the opposing team has 4 straight power plays, two of which were garbage calls.

We've been horrible most of the game. Sure the refs are managing the hell out of the game, but we haven't looked good at all.

There are certainly games you can blame the refs, this isn't one of them.

There's no denying this team is better with Marner in the lineup, he plays in every situation, and controls the play when the puck is on his stick.

The team has missed him these past couple of games. In saying that, need to get it to overtime and at least get something out of this mediocre game.

He hasn't been very good these past two games, but he's not going to play picture perfect hockey for 82 games, in saying that hes played pretty well this season still.

While I generally agree I still expect he should stand out more for $11m a year than Kampf, especially since he's the captain. Like, where are the shots on net? Where is the playmaking and scoring chances?

vegas cycling the puck is a little irritating

We don't have the type of defensemen that can nail the forechecker to the end wall and simply hold him there, breaking the cycle. It's probably the thing we miss most about Bogosian leaving. He was great at pinning the forward to end wall and letting his partner retrieve the puck. Muzzin can do it when he gets out of his wheel chair a couple shifts per game, but we desperately need an upgraded version of Bogosian, who IS a grown ass man, and plays like it. I'd take a guy like Savard or Mayfield at the deadline to play that role.

We need a "separator", or two, back there.

What’s happened to him? In his first 10-20 games he used them very well. For instance that 5-3 Colorado game was very similar to last game, but once is became 4-3 he called the timeout and we ended up riding the storm and winning

zaitsev in his prime was the last guy we had that did this excellent. literally the sole reason that made babcock fall in love with him. holl is a massive downgrade.

I'm a JT fan and all but this is two straight games where he's been replacement level, at least to these eyes and I've watched hockey for almost 40 years

He's been really steady this season, but you're absolutely right, he looks like the 41-42 year old version of Jagr recently.

Granted this team is coming off Covid so you don’t know what these guys are dealing with from a physical conditioning POV but they just look like they don’t have that jump and completely lack focus.
