Leafs fake injury to star rookie goaltender to save 750k on the Cap

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs plan to circumvent the NHL's Salary Cap continued again last night, with the team staging an obviously fake injury to Joseph Woll in order to save on his massive 750k cap hit.

“The NHL needs to step in,” said Sens fan Peter Monkhouse. “Woll bending over in agony and needing to be helped off the ice was clearly just a part of the Leafs plan to bench players in order to use their money at the trade deadline.”
