As Foligno said years ago: Easy to play against. That's their identity and the entire league knew it.

I’m doing my best to not care about this until the playoffs.

But if they play like this and lose in the 1st round again I will no longer care what they do with any player, coach, office. 34, 16 or anybody else. If they play like this in the playoffs they will be rightfully hated by everyone.

Marner for top 10 first + top prospect
Nylander for 2 firsts
Tavares 50% retained for 2 firsts
 
I predict that Dubas is gone at season’s end and the new management can’t resign Nylander and they trade him.
Unless a miracle occurs and Tavares waives his no trade.

I would say so, yes. Outside one or two shifts the Leafs have not looked dangerous, and the Devils have just missed on a few cross-ice passes that would have been trouble had they connected.

That's the best possible outcome on a return for each player. Let's hope you are right if things end up that way.
 
Bring back Nylander's Swedish buddies, he hasn't looked the same since they've left. Also someone please teach Matthews how to put his shot in the back of the net again. That one-timer in the slot used to be money.

Unfortunately because our GM is a genius

They all have trade protection with all but Willy having no moves. So that turfs their values a little

Sammy stole us that 1st, no doubt. That 2nd line is tragic and will likely have Nylander losing interest in this game (if he hasn't already).

Yeah, I notice him in the offensive zone mainly floating up high ready to get back to play defense while deferring to others. It's like he lost all of his 'inctincts', related to this is the fact that he clearly isn't able to shoot like he has in the past (injury).
