Post-Game Talk: Leafs clinch, beat Habs 3-2! Matthews 51 in 50

I genuinely have no idea how Holl is even in the lineup. The amount of goals he's single handed responsible for seems like 80% sometimes.

Take him out, play a few games without him. He brings nothing, other than a big body to screen our own goalie. He's not even physical, I don't get the Holl love by the coaches.

He is like a swiss army knife, but a bit rusty and dull.

*Muzzin's game is improving, he looks to be skating more freely than at any point this year.

I can't see Keefe sitting Lily for 3+ games in a row. He's clearly in experimenting mode. I would guess it's Holl's turn next to take a seat.

No matter how big of a homer they are, they can't even come close to their media's homerism. They had the audacity to vote Draisaitl for a Selke. DRAISAITL.

He enjoys the physical aspect of the game. The type of player other teams don't like facing in a series.

Habs were very good at stealing pucks from Leaf players tonight, I didn't look at the numbers but they seemed to do well in recovering the puck whenever the Leafs tried to be too fancy.

Not happy with that 5 on 3 power play. Källgren had some big saves. Typical Habs trying so hard against the leafs when they’re competing for the #1 pick.

Big Leafs Dub, huge UFC card & an F1 race nightcap. Life is good.. it’ll be better when these pork belly burnt ends and Mac & cheese come off the smoker.

Heh. It's so much easier to put guys through the ringer on nights with a loss.

Hard to complain about this last little run here.

I'd like to see Timmy in next week. Other than that, everyone should keep on keepin on.
 
A fairly typical type comment I read over on the Habs board

This figs team has a good 1st line, a decent 2nd line, garbage for 3rd and 4th lines. Their D is below average and their goaltending is useless. They're not going anywhere in the playoffs.....

I really hope our opponents in the PO underestimate us as much as the HF boards do. I know I'm comparing professionals that earn their living from hockey, compared to a bunch of dummies but still how great would it be..?
 
Why is Lilly not playing tonight?
I guess Holl was just Holl not the good Holl that sometimes showed up.

I cubed it up in 1-2” chunks (noting too particular) seasoned them up last night and have had them on the smoker at 225 for a couple hours now. they’re tossed in sauce and honey and some spice for another hour til they hit 205f.
So good.
