Seems to me like they just don't care about home ice

It seems to me that they can’t match intensity of the last few games, and are slowly losing grip of all the advantages they had 1.5 weeks ago. It’s like watching Toronto slowly losing an arm wrestling competition.

I’m not saying I don’t get it, just that they’re playing very poor, very lazy/low energy hockey.

Home ice advantage DOES matter in the playoffs, though. We’ll need every advantage we can get against the Lightning.

Home ice is nothing in the playoffs. The refs put their whistles away whether it’s in Toronto or Tampa bay. You can’t play that level of hockey
3 out of four nights against well rested teams. The playoffs will even that out.

This team just REFUSES to play the dump and chase game. Like REFUSES to be hard on the forecheck.

With amount of players who can actually skate, this baffles me
Our lack of consistent forecheck is really has been our downfall for long long time
