GDT: Leafs @ Capitals Sunday game

Maybe they just don’t have that gear? You can beat all the other contenders in the last month of the season but when it really matters you get chased out of the building.

People are losing there shit over here because the Leafs aren't going 100% hard, but I truly believe they don't give a shit about home ice advantage or winning these games, they just want to make it to the playoffs healthy. In a game where they could have easily started Campbell against Tampa, they went with the 3rd string AHL goalie lol, what does that say?

I tend to agree with the Leafs, They have shown over the season they can roll with the big teams in the NHL.

Losing Bunting to what seems to be at least a few weeks already sucks alot, he was going to be a big player in the playoffs for Toronto.

I will never blame the players - I don't think they're not playing their hardest, I just think the team is constructed in a way to have serious flaws due to how top heavy we are in a team sport. I almost entirely blame Dubas. At least if we fail in the first round he'll be fired finally.
 
They are certainly looking tired and uninspired, maybe they are worried about facing T.B already?

Fans are worried for good reason. If the the Leafs lose again in the first rond, it would habe to be a record for futi!ity. Six years in a row? I'm too lazy to look if it would be a record (they may already own it tbh).
 
Pisses me off that this team isn’t doing everything they can to get home ice. They should be fired up to lock in second place but they clearly don’t give a f***. God damn I hate this team sometimes. Same story every year. You can see them mentally checking out as the going gets tough. They’ve played three good teams who are in playoff mode. Of course we aren’t ready for them.

Tuesday and Friday will be very telling
 
Leafs have 2 more games to figure things out….but it feels like the Tampa game blowout might be the turning point..leafs gave them all the confidence and go on to lose their remaining games. We’ll see I guess

To me, this game is on Keefe. Any time team lacks energy or urgency, that's on the coach
It's coaches jobs to get them going, change some lineups, bench some under performers

All we needed was a goalie and Dubas gifted us with Campbell and Mrazek.

No way Vasi get outplayed for these 2 losers

Yep. Every other team has a playoff gear that starts to show in the last few games.

It's why we always get blown out to end the season, then lose in the playoffs.

They wrecked themselves not taking Tampa seriously and it’s now snowballing into a crisis in confidence. The way they rolled into Tampa reminded me of how high they were riding after Game 4 against Montreal.

The stars on this team have not shown that next gear. I don't think this game is truly representative of that, but it was a chance to grind out a road win... And instead they play dead, yet again. Its not a good sign.

If we don't have home ice, no chance we win in round 1 imo.
