leafs basically rob CAR, unsurprisingly.

As a Canes fan, how is this "robbing" of Carolina. The chances of Tolchinsky becoming a regular NHL player are pretty darn slim and frankly, I'm not convinced he'll ever become one.

I wouldn't do the deal because to me, Holland isn't much, if any, of an upgrade of what the Canes already have, but by no means does the value of this deal favor Carolina IMO. Seems like the value is ok.

Holland for an undrafted, undersized prospect who has struggled in the AHL?

take off the blinders and you will see this is a good deal for the canes.
Holland can be a decent 30pt 3rd line C who can play both PP and PK.

Might be a fair trade.....but to think the Leafs need more prospects at LW....ain't really true.

Johnson, Tishikov, Lindberg, Rychel all in AHL, Dzerkinis in junior, Grundsbrurg in SHL

Your spellchecker is awful. But yes, agreed. LW we absolutely have depth; that said, I'd trade holland for a 5th and be happy. I'd do this in a heartbeat from a leaf pov
