For some of you reading that title, the first question might be “who?” but here we are, another day and another Leafs recall…

Of course, for a lot of you, if you are reading about the Leafs you are well aware that the Leafs made a minor last minute trade on the trade deadline that sent Dryden Hunt to the Flames and Toronto acquired Radim Zohorna. In his six games with the Marlies he’s picked up a goal and an assist, but most importantly he has that thing you can’t teach and that is size. As a 6’6 center there is likely some interest in seeing what this giant can do in fourth line capacity.
Zohorna had a more productive run when he was with the Calgary Wranglers. He picked up 29 points in 40 games, and at the NHL level (with the Penguins) he has 10 points in 33 games. Not bad numbers for a potential fourth liner and I’m sure there is some curiosity if he can develop some quick chemistry with his fellow countryman, David Kampf.

Is he a better skater than Nick Antropov?

If the guy has a good stick, can defend and put a few opponents on their butts, I'd be happy.

SCOUTING REPORT
Went undrafted in the National Hockey League but came into prominence while toiling in his native Czech Republic, and eventually signed his entry-level contract as a late-blooming forward. Has incredible size (6'6", 220 pounds) and the versatility to play all three forward positions, which adds loads of value to an NHL franchise. His scoring ability is somewhat limited, so he is best utilized in a bottom-six forward role at the highest level.
Long Range Potential: Huge, versatile forward.

Don’t see how we don’t look back in a few months and not see this as the day it all changed.

Sounds like the Leafs have it covered from A-ccari to Z-ohoma .. ahahahahahahha ... Leaf Nation you are welcome for this Saturday morning Dad Joke...

He was 6' 5 but played like he was 5'6
Never mind. I miss read your post

In addition to the goal, I liked his board work, just naturally eats up space, made a nice physical play to get the puck out of the zone later in the game. In a limited injury fill-in role, I’d use him in a pinch. Also lost a tooth I think.
