Team is playing like they’re tired of losing. Like they know the past playoffs misery was all from their own doing. If they’ve finally gotten out of their own heads, they will be dangerous, and should fear no one. We’re due.

Holy Matthews. Incredible f***ing player.

I only started watching the Leafs again (after last year's loss) because Matthews is so damn good that I'd be depriving myself of watching possibly the best Leaf of all time. And I'm glad I've tuned in because he's on a another level this year.

Also huge game for Campbell. He was excellent not allowing Tampa to have any glimmer of light in the third after the Leafs caved a bit to Tampa. Really happy that he rallied after the second goal which was a tough one to let in.

Two solid starts in a row is encouraging.

Overall a good effort against Tampa. The Leafs can hang with them but Tampa's skill definitely came through at times. Good thing the Leafs' can match that skill.

And what's being overlooked because of Matthews' goal scoring is Marner's season. What an amazing rebound season he's having in all situations. Just producing and making plays like he can.

Fantastic game boys, AM is a beast.

I really don’t want Muzzin coming back in and ruining our Mojo out there. We have the depth to go 4 rounds on our D. Hopefully Kase can come back healthy and really get that bottom 6 really cooking.

Love Tampa fans though. They're one of the few boards where I read that if the Leafs are playing well, they acknowledge it with no backhanded compliments. One guy even said that "the Leafs are playing like how we should be playing".

Side note, Campbell playing that calm against a divisional opponent is huge IMO. I think the Giordano signing as well as Lyub actually being a net front clearing presence is huge for him.

Engvall with another great game.
Abruzzese played really well tonight. Noticeable in a good way.
D played solid.
Campbell looks like Campbell again.
Marner with some unreal passes.

That Matthews guy is kinda a bum though.

Go Leafs Go

That bum had trouble finishing, coulda had a hattrick if not for those stone hands...:sarcasm:
