Matthews was a beast and a man on a mission on that play...back-checks straight for McDonaugh, checks him on the hip to make him lose balance and release the puck, back-hands the loose puck between his legs to Bunting who dishes to Marner for the transition attack resulting in a beauty pass off of Vasi's pads to Matthews for the game winning goal...amazing!

What an absolutely huge win by the boys. They didn't quit, vets spoke up in intermission, the boys righted the ship and the high end guys got the Leafs the win.

Big kudos to SOUUUP, he was sensational after what happened early.

Disagree. Had trouble getting the puck out a lot of the night as usual. First goal was because he couldn’t get it out to a fwd that could take a pass.

It's okay to say he had a good game. No one is calling him a Norris candidate.

Also love that the whipping boys Tavares, Nylander, and Holl all had great games.

Seems like Keefe knew what he was doing.

Zero chance Keefe was sitting Tavares or Nylander. There was a possibility with Holl.

I've been waiting for this pairing since they signed Brodie. This is a savagely good matchup pairing.

I stopped watching after the first. Kept checking the box score. Tuned in for a bit of the second when it was 3-3. And decided that the Leafs will break my heart again and turned it off. They proved me wrong for the first time in 26 years as a Leafs fan. Don't know how to feel lol.

Glad they won.
