What I have noticed with Nylander is that he has better offensive production, when he's going up the middle or on his off wing. He has more ice to play with and a more quicker and accurate shot, more so when he cuts into the middle from the off wing, much better angle towards the net for him, suits him well

Not only do we have to end Tampa’s 16-0 bounceback streak, we have to do it *in* Tampa.

Who’s ready for a HNIC Game 7?

Lightning fan coming in peace.

As much as tonight's loss stung for me, I gotta tip my hat to Campbell. After getting chased the last game and giving up 2 early ones, I thought we had him, but he made some great saves the rest of the first to keep you guys alive, and some big saves with the game on the line in the 3rd. Kudos to him for not folding there.

The bolts tied it up AFTER our epic comeback and we STILL nutted up and did the thing.

And matthews was hitting like madman and throwing them around like nothing.

They might have finally figured it out.

The moment Nylander cut to the net for a scoring chance not caring that he would get hit; that to me meant team decided that they are gonna bring it; come what may....

Everybody BeLeafs. Even the posters ranting and moaning in the GDTs. If they didn't BeLeaf or cared they wouldn't be wasting their time in the GDTs they would rather do something else with their life

So chill with telling Leafs fans to suck on something or whatever....

THIS. The Leafs have taken years off my life. If I want to grumble, rage, say I’m done, and whatever else…I’ve earned it!!!

He is very inconsistent. None of us here know which version of him will show up next game.

We just saw a historical leafs game. Years later we are going to tell our grandkids about the times big players came up big in important games. This generation, we never really had one of those yet. I mean yeah, before this year, the Matthews core had won 13 playoff games, and you can't do that unless you've done some things well and some things right. But there was nothing so dramatic, so gutsy, so heavily dependent on our stars making a clutch play at just the right time. Probably the most dramatic, memorable (positive) playoff moment the Matthews core had given us was the brilliant overtime pass from Boyle to Kapanen*.

Gilmour gave us so many memories. Clark did. Sundin did. f***ing Stumpy Steve Thomas did! Now, finally, Matthews and Marner did.

*and you'll say, hey, what about the comeback vs. Columbus? But all they really did was make up for snoozing through 56 minutes so I don't really count that.
Well said! I've been a Leafs fan my whole life but only really a diehard since 2009. I've missed an embarrassingly small number of games in that span. Some during my undergrad for exams. Some while on trips... but honestly I've seen most.

Moments that really come to mind are:
- Kapanen 2OT win
- McElhinney save (I was at this game, immediately after flying home from South Korea, then drove back to Waterloo and partied till 4am... a memorable day to say the least)
- Kadri's hattrick against the Islanders
- Matthews' 4 goal game.

Jeez, don't have many beyond that.

This was a big game. Proud of the boys, but it's time to get it done.
