Have to give Johnny T and Willie credit, they both stepped up tonight.
Matthews was a wrecking ball.
Keeping Holl in was the right call. Keefe opted for the more experienced defenceman than putting Lilegren into a pressure cooker. Timothy will have his time, but Keefe for now has to go with the guys he believes can handle it.

Hard time picking the 3 stars lots of hustle out there tonight

so in no particular order there's 3 in there somewhere

MM what can ya say just imposing his will at both ends of the ice, always getting things done, always in the opponents business and always creating

Willie he had a great game tonight, really strong and totally on fire, he dominated whole shifts by using his skills and his skates, and by optimizing zone time by holding on to pucks and making plays possible in order to use his linemates

Jack He kept it together and got stronger as the game wore on, he made so many outstanding and timely saves, when he's strong like this, it actually creates a lot of confidence in the guys in front of him and in turn generates offence.

JT fighting for pucks, grinding the opponent to dust, winning the battles through all 200 feet

AM he made the 3 hardest hits on the night, a couple of soft mistakes in the Dzone but he righted them right away, and took pucks away from guys

DK a solid night at both ends, dominant in the circle he drove the line pretty good tonight, we're lucky to have him for another year

6D Everyone got physical, they all hustled, I'd like to see them block more shots, but they kept Jacks crease clear and that's kind of a good thing too. Boosh actually looks like he may have some real offensive skills hiding there somewhere

like I said before we got this

Great win for the Leafs,my only complaint is I have to listen to Butchergrass call the game on ESPN! Why can’t they just use the Canadian feed. Insufferable!!!!

Dubas' hasn't been popular over the last few games. But so far it's looking more like he's made the right bet on the teams goaltending.

Kase has been useless. He's even more useless on the 4th line. I'd much rather have a Simmonds or Clifford in over Kase but Keefe aint gonna make any changes when they're winning

Agreed.
Imo how we play game 6 will show if they have learned what it will take to win. They cannot have the, ther is always game 7 attitude.
I want them to start game 6 the way they played from the 2nd period this game and keep it up until the end. That won't mean automatic win, but that is the mind set they need
This is a prime opportunity. Tampa’s goaltending hasn’t been stealing any games and is decidedly average. Everyone should feel good they have contributed to scoring. Not gripping sticks to tight or feeling snakebite. If we just play hard we can take this series.

Just read the Oilers' "Around the league thread" (AKA Leafs discussion thread) and they are dead set convinced that the refs do everything they can to help Toronto win.
The league is holding the Oilers down by *checks notes* making them sign the corpse of Duncan Keith and relying on a headcase like Mike Smith
