3-1 minn state on a dirty tip in front that some here would be hand wringing about soft D in front of the net

I think he's a great complimentary partner for Rielly. He knows to stay back and let Rielly do what he does best. I agree he's not a typical top pairing guy but Rielly has looked his best lately when paired with Lyubushkin. Coincidence? Maybe. But I don't think so.

Too many expect perfection. It's a very fast game, .a bouncing puck, broken plays and desperate opponents.

All in all for the number of games the Russian Bear has played, I think he has been great. Reilly has some freedom and Lybushkin is happy to just hit, defend, block hnots and clear bodies.

It has also allowed Keefe to ice a more balanced defense.

It's my biggest pet peeve - the dozens of missed interference calls missed each game.
After a month of proper calling, it would open the game up even more and it would be the 80s again, I'm telling you . . .

This same league successfully cracked down on the neutral zone obstruction / interference / hooking by calling it and calling it and calling it and basically forcing the players to adapt.

Remember how many nights early on, where powerplays were like 9 vs 7 ?

Now that same league acts like it's horrendous to run up powerplays because somehow it's unfair - not nearly as unfair as letting so many calls go.

It's going to hit another tier come playoff time, as usual.

A penalty in the preseason is a penalty in January and April and game 7 of the cup finals imo
