Can’t wait to “get goalied” by f***ing Grubauer of all people tomorrow. It’s happened every other game of this bloody trip. Why change it up now?
Oh nooooo Grubauer, probably going to shutout the Leafs tonight, it would just like him to not allow any goals. I mean what could be worse than the Bud's getting SHUTOUT! Damn I'm getting passed at just the thought of a Phil SHUTOUT!

Tavares and Nylander are both -11 +/- in the Leafs last 9 games which includes a 6 game winning streak and 38 goals for. :wedgie:

On a team with Cup aspirations and a +38 goal differential on the season to see these players and negative +/- players on the season, despite the offense they're bringing to offset that is truly is remarkable how much a liability they have become 5v5 at even strength.

A simple flipping of Marner with Willy to see if it stops the bleeding of goals against seems like an obvious solution to address the elephant in the room.
I'm all for it, Mitch seems to inspire John to a higher level, and we all know that Willie believes it should be he that plays with Matty;)

On paper, we should walk all over them…

But in reality, Grubauer will turn into the second coming of Hasek for 3 hours, and we’ll see another frusterating game

It will only be frustrating if our recent trend of sub par goaltending continues.

I think Leafs score a bundle tonight. They've been all over the net. They'll get going again. They've been playing pretty good overall for a long time.

2 losses... one where Calgary is hot and their goalie is one of the best in the league. Although leafs definitely need a couple guys at the deadline that can assert themselves in a game like that.

Last game was all Demko and at least 1 bad defensive breakdown. Mzarek could of been better but their 5 on 5 goals will get going again.

I'm not worried about scoring.

I'm worried about getting timely saves, and a few of our D man not having brain farts that always seem to lead to a goal ( timely saves) and getting the puck out of our d zone quicker. Those 3 of late have been lacking.

Anyone else getting vibes of 2013-2014 with our goalies? I get a Riemer - Bernier vibe where in theory they should be a good tandem, but in reality neither can be trusted in a big game.

I walk at either tbh unless he can really turn it on when it counts and give us the goalie he was to before January here.

5-6 I'd let him walk for sure
But Mrazek isn't the answer either

Agree. But I disagree at either number. 4.5 AAV, this becomes an Allen situation with the blue where we have a guy who needs to be a starter or he ends the window. If we get a better goalie or one of our prospects becomes legit, it's not good. We need to be certain Jack is our guy. He needs to prove he is when it counts to get that money IMO

I hate to go into a game like this but I have very little faith that the Leafs will take this game seriously enough to start on tine and will probably get their buts kicked
