I have never thought in those terms of “ a loss night “
I know it happens , but I’m always positive and expect a win , no matter what , sports is awesome that way , and in our case , we are a fine fine hockey team and one of the best in the league , so I think it’s “ a win night “

I need some of your optmisim in my life

If Pete has even a 900 % I think Leafs win.

Caps haven't been playing that good for a while and their home record is nothing special.

Be nice to see Matthews get another couple. That line has been on fire.

Hopefully Kase can create a spark on line 2.

Looking forward to seeing Robertson go again. GLG.

Ritchie is brutal but this is the type of game we could use him against a guy like Wilson. It just points out to the fact we need a better version of Simmonds still.

Yeah but he took a lot of head shots.
Lmao
Oh I know about those ….
I’m very much feeling those residual effects …
Unfortunately, I had this stupid thought of being a brawler in hockey , but was small against the sequoias playing against me , loss a bit , won a bit , but my mates appreciated it at least , I answered the bell always no matter what …
And was a small outside linebacker in Highschool and with the Hamilton Hurricanes

I wouldn't mind some tweaks but they shouldn't touch the top line to do it.
Robertson JT Kase
Mikheyev Kerfoot Willy
Engvall Kampf Spezza/Simmonds

Robertson is a worker bee that has a deadly shot, maybe two guys like him and Kase can help JT get going with a hard forecheck and cycle game.
Not really worried about Kerfoot not being “good” at centre, Willy can cover defensively if he gets engaged. We’ve all seen it for long stretches before. If need be throw Spezza between the two for offensive zone starts/draws and bump mik with Engvall and Kampf for a super shut down 4th line.

Would love to see Robertson get some run on the second line. What a waste sticking him on the 4th line. Let's see what he is.
Spezza and Simmonds aren’t a typical 4th line that lack any skill and are a couple of tough nosed vets who give him some skill to work with against lower level comp.
I do agree overall though, as I’d like to see Willy and JT be split up and put with guys who better suit their play style.

Perfect spot to bring him along slowly , IMO.
Easier matchups, Simmonds will have his back and Spezza is skilled enough to get him the puck.
Play there until he's earned a promotion.

Time to break up Willy and JT and also get Robertson better opportunities. Put Nylander with players that can actually keep up and put Tavares with some players that can cycle the puck and get it to him in the slot (having a hard time with this one).
