Maybe not to you but a 2C who is 40th in the league in scoring while playing on the best PP in the league doesn’t warrant $11M AAV. He’s poor defensively and one of the slowest skaters in the league. He’s at best a $7M player and that’s only because of his faceoff ability and his play below the dots in the offensive zone. Nothing the Leafs can do though. They’re stuck with his contract as he continues to regress. Signing looked good at the time but it didn’t allow them to build a cup contender defense or enough forward depth.It doesn't really say anything, since putting our PPG center on the 3rd line is pretty obviously a bad move.
