Contract is completely buriable. I believe he makes 1 million which is below the buriable amont. No AAV on NHL cap. Marlies needed some veterans.

Costs nothing to acquire. Was waived and likely would prefer to play AHL at home. I imagine Brooks will be re-claimed tomorrow too for the Marlies.

That is a little weird. Clifford has been awful. He can go move between the AHL and the NHL without waivers for a few weeks though so might be ok depth. Maybe he can revitalize his career a little here.

Could be a pre-cursor to a trade in the next couple weeks when Mikheyev is back.
