Is Marner figuring it out? In the past he would hang on to that puck, make a move or two more and look for others. Now, he realizes that takeways must be exploited with a quick shot on net and he scores. With bodies in front, even if he doesn't, the rebound might be buried.

This important shift in mindset can be a world of difference in a series when goals are tougher to find.

Other teams concentrate on Matthews/Marner.
The Tavares line plays against secondary opposition which makes his performance even look worse.
Not only is his skating awful but it looks like his reflexes are slowing down.
I know he has his supporters on this forum but I don’t see him as a quality player anymore.

I feel the same way but his play will be more appreciated in a tight checking series than a run and hun regular season game

With the benefit of hindsight I’d rather Kadri for 4.5 as a 2C however

I view him as a more affordable Sam Bennett (a player I hoped the Leafs would pursue last year). His upside is high as is his tenacity.

You can't be taken seriously when you say thongs like this. He was a lock foe team Canada and a point per game player. He was the most consistent player for this team over the first 30 games. When you say he isn't a quality player you sound STUPID. Im sorry there isn't a nicer word. Its a dumb fu****** thing to say period.
