Wouldn't "Turk" be an outlier of the named goalies considering it dates back to Broda's childhood? Unless of course Johnny Bower was actually called "The China Wall" as a child. I can't say for sure that he wasn't, after all.

Johnny is about as old as the china wall.
The only question for me did they name it after him

'Andy' for sure, but I found myself asking the same 'Freddy'/'Freddie' question. I don't know if it makes any sense, but I think I use 'Freddy' for Andersen and 'Freddie' for Gauthier.

I really don't get the infatuation people have to give nicknames to everything.
However, when it comes to Andersen I'm watching a save and...
"atta boy freddy, settle this **** down"
"FREDDYYYYYYY"
"stop him freddy, yayyyyyy"
stuff like that....so it's always going to be 'freddy' for me.

Riemer is a good goalie he competed likw he was a Great goalie. He just wasn't great.And the leafs on front of him were horrible
