Looking for more info on this kid. New England kid playing in the USHL. Getting regular minutes as a 16 year old and has picked up some assists, albeit on a team with some pretty good forwards. Don’t believe he has made an NCAA commitment yet.

@BKarchitect I saw you had some posts about him, have you seen him play by chance?

If there was already a thread out there on him, feel free to merge MODs. I couldn’t find one.

Had a really good year as a 16 year old with Madison in the USHL, in the mold of a Hutson type defenseman, on the smaller side but great skater, really good with the puck, great vision and does really well running the PP. It was shocking he wasn't even invited to the NTDP camp, never mind picked for the team. Proved a lot of those evaluators wrong this year. Just committed to Denver, great pick up for them. Biggest thing will be how big will he end up

Hopefully he gets a prime opportunity on the Hlinka team. He should be one of the guys they lean on heavily, along with Mac Swanson, Trevor Connelly, Owen Keefe, etc.

Just going to come out and say it, he's not that good and he's probably going to start the season overrated.

His point totals are good, but he played a big offensive role on a terrible team and he's one of those players that doesn't contribute a whole lot outside of some moderate offense.

My scouting report from his USHL season.

Small puck-moving defenseman. Good skater. He’s physical for his size, but he’s still below 5’10 and his size is an obstacle out there on the ice for him against juniors. It’ll be that much more of one in pro hockey. He has offensive ability and isn’t bad defensively for his size, but I don’t think it’s great ability at either end. I think he’ll be picked. Maybe mid-rounds, if he grows to 5’10 or 5’11 by the draft. That would help his draft stock a lot.

My review of what I've watched from him this season. Has 8+12=20 points in 38 games.
His offense has taken a step back this season, in terms of points totals, but I think he’s gotten a little better. He’s focusing more on defense, and isn’t as much of a pure PP specialist. His defending for the USHL actually isn’t that bad anymore. He makes a lot more sound defensive plays. There are still limitations with his size and speed, but he’s been using his smarts to defend this year. He’s a 5’10 defenseman with average speed. He has decent, not great offense. The defensive game was pretty weak until this season. It’s not strong, but it’s improved enough that it probably isn’t worse than the typical OFD. I never thought he was a lock to get drafted, and the point totals decreasing probably don’t help him, but I suspect someone will still pick him, even if I probably wouldn’t.
