This kid is gonna be awesome. His achievements and stats looks very good. He is already playing in A-Junior club at age 15. Look like top 10 material in draft 2017.

Yeah he played over 20 minutes in the first 3 matches in A-Juniors.

His stats are great too.

3 games, 1+1=2 +5

Can anyone tell me more about him? What's he good at, except being big?

A good skater for a defenceman of his size. Above average hockey IQ and pretty good shot. Not flashy in any way, but does all things well. Apparently he hasn't stopped growing too, so 6'2" might not be the final number.

Been producing points lately.

Last 13 games: 2+7=9 points +6

Season totals: 39 games 4+13=17 +18

Quietly had a great U18 WJC.

7 games 1 assist +5.

Played tough minutes on defense and on PK.

Seems like he is coming over

“We are excited to draft Juuso, he is an elite 1998 defenseman who has played as an underage for Finland at the World Championships,” Tory said. “We look forward to Juuso joining our team and being a major contributor.”

This guy is criminally underrated in Finland. Hopefully he gets a little more recognition in WHL. Top 10 pick in 2017 if everything goes well.

He's going to spend two years (unless he decides to come back next season) in the WHL before the draft, should be interesting.

Also he's the first Finnish player in Tri-City's history.

Finland's future defense looking pretty awesome at the moment. How realistic is it that he'll get picked 4th though?

He was looking for only a one-year contract to keep the doors open for different options for 16/17 season. If everything goes as planned in Tri-City and he thinks that the best place for his development is WHL, I see no reason why he would not stay there for another season. Military service can be done later.

Juuso is a genuine young gentleman and takes the training very seriously (nutrition and recovery as well). He is already a tall kid, but needs to get some muscles before he is ready to battle against adults.

I see a lot of potential in him and wish that he would some day become a cornerstone of Team Finland´s blueline and an elite NHL defenseman.

1g+4a=5 points in 3 games for this kid in the WHL. Impressive stats for sure. Is there anyone who have seen him actually play in these games? Is he top 4 defenseman on his team?

There's some game recaps available on their website. Unfortunately, they show just the goal-scoring plays and the videos really could include replays and longer sequences, but it's better than nothing.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find TOI statistics anywhere from the WHL or Amerks website, so I can't answer your second question. I would hazard a guess he is on 1st or 2nd pairing, but as I said, can't be sure. He's listed as 6'2", 200lbs on their website by the way, so either he's worked out a bit over the summer or they rounded up his weight. In any case, he's tied as their leading scorer after 3 games, but it's a ridiculously small sample size.

I think he's on the 2nd pairing with Dylan Coghlan. At least it looked that way in the game I watched.

What happened to him? I think he is injured because he has not played lately. He is having a great season. It's hard to find any information.
