Ugly game against a shit team once again.

At least they get up for games against good teams though but they have to clean this up.

Tavares needs to start taking the lead instead of being a fumbling passenger. I'm giving the top line a pass for this stinker.

For D I'd love to try:

Rielly-Boosh
Muzzin-Brodie
Giordano-Liljegren

Each pair can move the puck, contribute a bit offensively, and a bit of physicality on every pairing.

Yay, let's reward the guy who played like ass on the 3rd pairing by putting him higher in the lineup.

Boosh should be benched next game. Not promoted. And based on the way he has played most of the year, he probably should be the extra RD in the playoffs too.

coming off Matthews 50 in 50 and a huge week against some important teams to a random Tuesday game vs Buffalo. Could see this coming a mile away

Agendas are intellectually bboorriinng. Also transparent.

As for the game, I’ve already forgotten. 7-0-1, bound to lay an egg. First NHL season? Next.

F- all around.

Bunting is in a bargain contract, but I’m getting annoyed with how easily he loses the puck in the ozone to lose possession.

6'3" great wingspan but only 194lbs. Doesn't seem to be all that physically strong.

Yeah if only he had access to world class training facilities and nutrition. He should be at 210-215.

The tools to be an above average defensive 4-5D, the type of guy who gets paid 4.5 mil and not 2 mil, are there with Holl.

But unfortunately so is his Bobby Orritis, and it seems to be getting worse.

Holl was crap again but he had plenty of company. This is what happens when there is a lack of urgency and lazy effort, especially in our own zone.

Defence was awful but our goaltending is sooo bad. Kallgren is an AHL goalie. Campbell is not healthy. Enjoy Matthews’ run for 65 cause if we play Tampa we’re f***ed.

Stop messing around and put the lines back together so they can roll into the playoffs with some cohesion and a clear idea of what is required from each line/player.

Can't do anything about Tavares being utter dogshit. Stop with this Holl and Spezza nonsense. Hope you enjoyed your cup of coffee Abruzzese but that's all for now.

Bunting Matthews Marner
Kerfoot Tavares Nylander
Engvall Kampf Mikheyev
Clifford Blackwell Simmonds

Rielly Brodie
Gio Lily
Muzzin* Boosh

Anyone not named Holl can play in place of Muzzin until he's back.

Get the goalies practicing how to stop moving objects.

I'd prefer the forward lines to be:

Bunting Matthews Marner
Engvall Kerfoot Nylander
Tavares Kampf Mikheyev
Clifford Blackwell Simmonds

JT is too SLOW to play center

My idea is Muzzin-Brodie being a hard matchup pairing with Gio-Liljegren being able to dominate lower competition and giving Rielly a guy who can cover his main weakness clearing the crease, and they've played fine together too.

He has really struggled to be the same impact player he was earlier in the season. Even with this run Matthews and Marner are on, I don't feel he has much to do with it. A play here and there sure, but nothing consistent.

The entire team was soft on the puck in battles tonight, but he has been trending this way for sometime. I am a little worried; he did set some lofty expectations with his early season play.

willy and JT have actually played better apart, together they are pretty useless 5v5

Keefe played with lines and the defense pairings until we layed a egg good coaching don't stick to what is winning for you

Tuesday night game, at home, against a bottom feeder. Feels like I've been watching the Leafs lose these games for 20 years on repeat.

Locked into the playoffs is great. However, it'd be nice to snag home ice. We need all the help we can get to move past the first round and get the piano off of our back.

Nothing to overreact about. First regulation loss in a 2+ weeks. Not going to run the table to finish the year.

Team's been doing well agains the good teams so it's hard to get mad after the last stretch but I do get concerned that they still don't have that killer instinct mentality loafing a game like tonight.

You get what you get, and if it costs you home ice .. so be it.

The team seems focused on the playoffs right now and team's they'll be competing against.

If they lose in the first round because of goaltending, a problem they could have seen coming a mile away, Dubas has to be gone in the offseason.

It is unforgiveable to waste this year of the talent they have with the goaltending shitshow they also have.

He's rolling the dice big time.
u tell me who was a surefire goalie that was available at the deadline? u prob cant. its not that simple and u know it.

I just don't think Boosh can play those minutes against that level of opposition (presume they get the hardest minutes). I think you've gotta have Brodie with Rielly to take those minutes.

Gio Lily (who both could get pretty exposed in the playoffs can the next hardest and then Muzzin and Boosh play that defend for your life minutes.

I'm sure there last however many Stanley Cup winners have had a pairing that offered very little in the transitional game.

Who played with Bogo in Tampa, or Schenn. Bortuzzo, Edmondson, Orpik etc.
