Nothing better than prospects being on the bottom lines and losing horribly every game. I thought vets were supposed to be good. Guess our pro scouting still sucks.

When it comes to scouting, pro or amateur...there has been no revamp.

Call up Heineman fr tho
I’d love to let him marinate a bit longer ideally. God I hope he can stay healthy. Love his game. Nice to see the passing.
I don’t know if he quite has the upside but I’d love to see him come anywhere close to pre-Chara Patches. Even a lite version. Similarities are there. He almost has too much jam though. Reckless abandon comes to mind which just screams injuries long term though

It also seems like the longer guys stay under our coaching the worse they get. How have Roy Farrell, Kidney, Norlinder, Davidson, etc all regressed from preseason and early season? I know no one expected Roy to maintain 1.8 PPG but falling to B prospect numbers wasn't expected after how great he came into the season prepared. Davidson in particular was a water bug and it seems inevitable he gets an ELC.

Heinemen has missed a ton of time and has come in hot. I'm sure as he gets coached more he too will slow down.

We likely won't even get to see hutson as he will likely go to the championship and Laval are already eliminated in all likelihood. They're still two goals off leading the division in goals for too. I can't believe we haven't traded Allen and taken back an AHL vet G as part of it. Dobes being thrown to the wolves.

They re-signed horrible horrible horrible defensively dmen like Beaudin when they knew we had Norlinder and Mailloux developing in the same kind of role. They needed a safe stay at home guy with experience. They needed strong defensive forwards to insulate the scoring prospects. Kidney would be having an easier time with two big wingers instead of being on a kid line with limited minutes and rotating scratches.

Does any other teams treat second round picks the way he and Mysak have been?

I am cautious with the new regime but I don't think there's a level of incompetence similar to Bergevin where he will dig deeper on dumbassery. I think they're taking a patient approach and changes will come for those who do poorly, at least I hope so.

Without watching them this year I can’t say much but the usage of our prospects is really annoying. Agreed on Mysak

They let go Richard, Belzile, Teasdale, Abandonnato, Shuneman, Dello, and a kid that looks pretty good overall, Pierrick Dubé. I have very low confidence in kids like Kidney and Mysak to ever pan out. I hope Heineman will stay healthy from now on and prove he can reach NHL next Fall.

Heineman Goal - 4:42
Simoneau Goal (Heineman Assist) - 5:46

Laval just didn't look ready, I don't really fault Dobes but it was a smart move to pull him as they really turned it around after that and played a much better game. Roy no pts in 6 games, -10 in that span looks bad but he easily could of had 2-3 points last night. If Davidson knocks that one in later in the game that would have been an epic setup from Roy. But these kids need time to find their way and as I often say points good or bad don't always tell the tale.

Heineman was good but it's his 2nd game back after being out 6 weeks from a concussion that saw him miss a couple months for a previous concussion. He's got 15 games in North America so it's not like it they need to rush him for now.

Love heiney’s game. His shoot from everywhere style reminds me of post-chara incident patches.
