Underdog or not we shouldnt be losing 9-1, what an idiot miļūns is putting in a goaltender that wont anything more than a beer leaguer in his future. **** everything

Don't worry, all you have to do is beat Slovakia. And Slovakia lost 8-1 to Finland in pre-tournament :naughty:

If Finland loses to Denmark, we either get Switzerland or Czech Republic (assuming we finish 2-3). Either way, a decent scenario in the quarters.

5 points for the Captain, 4 assists for Vorobyov

Watched only couple minutes of third period. 4 assist sounds more than great, but isn't it the result of playing with such a great players like Kaprizov and Polunin? Like I said, missed most part of game so all opinions much appreciated

Almost forget - How's Guryanov been? I've catched a few texas games and I was impressed at all

Vorobyov pretty much plays the 'Anisimov' role between them. Takes care of D, wins battles on boards, makes space for them to operate. But he is also a nice passer of the puck who has shown that in the KHL too. Can make reads and thread passes very well.

He also can 'QB' a PP well from the right half-boards, he showed that at 4 Nations as well as tonight, and did so in the WJC-18 too.

Don't get me wrong, even as a Flyers fan I think his upside at NHL level given skill-set is a solid 3C... but at this level he is a good player without considering he is a physically mature, 6'2, 210lb 'man' playing vs a lot of 'boys'.

Polunin is inconsistent, and Vorobyov is very steady. And he had above 50% FO vs Canada. He's already a solid KHL starter and his KHL team sucks without him and Kaprizov, 3 losses in a row.

While Sweden is favorite to win the group they (and everybody else) still need to play thier games, before we know how the QF looks like.

Feel bad for Dzierkals, Buncis and Balcers

Idk why they didn't just go with Mitens
So he wouldn't destroy his confidence entirely. We would've lost anyway against Russia.

Romanovskis was garbage and the fact that he's a midget of a goaltender made it even worse. And Grigals let in at least 3 softies too. But, yeah, this game is to be erased from our collective memories. I guess we got to practice our PP, so that's good. And I thought we actually improved during the game as far as PP goes.

Honestly, we could've lost 0-20 for all I care, the score doesn't matter. With the way Slovakia are playing, we're both pretty much guaranteed to have 0 points before the final game in the group stage.
