The 2016 and 2017 rosters were way better than the 2020 roster. 2016 should have made a deep run but the Blues were also a top 5 NHL team that year and it came down to game 7 OT.

Last good roster was the 2016-17 team that finished 1st in the Western Conference.

The bubble team was bad. That's why they were 24th in the league at the time of the stoppage. Beating a one-trick pony Oilers team doesn't mean anything.

The 2015-16 team certainly had a chance to do some damage if they had gotten by St. Louis. It's really a shame they made that Weiss trade.
