I remember a specific moment near the end of the game yesterday where he pinned a player against the glass and didnt look like he had any trouble with it. He looked like a normal NHL defenseman playing physical. Hes not just an offensive phenom

Reinbacher first needs to stay healthy and play some hockey thats alot of long injuries at a young age hopefully he can play a full year next year

It's unbelievable that all teams passed on Hutson on the 1st round. They almost passed on him on the 2nd round. The Habs luckily decided to draft him on the 62nd pick.

Wait until he's passing it across the box to Demidov next season. A good left handed half wall player will unlock his production even more. And you have Suzuki at the right point passing to Caufield or Laine. With a PP run by Martin St Louis.

You must have confused me for someone else.
It wasn't even a "mistake" per say. Completely defensible to trade Hutson back when I made the post, if the return was great. He was a gamble and the fact that we won this gamble doesn't change the situation for when uncertainty was at its highest. But yes, it would have been costly. The bet was reasonable, the result would have been bad.

Yes, with his talent, he should easily go 1st overall at this moment.
I would don't trade Hutson for any 2022 draft players, even Logan Cooley. Give me Hutson.
His defensive game is very impressive aswell. He have everything !

So far Cole Hutson isn't doing anywhere as good as Lane did in his first NCAA season.
Cole Hutson: 2 g and 10 pts in 15 games
Lane Hutson: 6 g and 17 pts in his first 15 NCAA games

PP2, or trade him. Because of their size, they're being undervalued, so you're getting more value from the draft. I think that should be the philosophy after the top picks.
I'm curious about what value Lane currently has. I assume he would get you a lot. And all you needed to do was wait, let them go through their development, and then cash in. Unless you lose value on an exchange (like with bitcoin trading, say), but I don't see why you would.

I remember really well the selection of Lane Hutson in my point of view. He was the best offensive dman of the US national team. When I made my mock draft, the choice for Montreal was between Tristan Luneau and Hutson. The next day, when I heard Montreal took Hutson at 62. I never understood what just happened (the show is not on television). . I mean, yeah, Hutson was tiny like a bee, but at the end of the first round. You need to take the homerun while you can! You don't become the best offensive dman for the US team by chance.

We draft Cole Hutson with which pick?
You forgot our 2nd round pick was traded in the Dvorak trade we did not have it to draft Cole Hutson. I don't think drafting Cole HUtson instead of Micheal Hage is a great idea. I like Hage he's a great prospect. A trade to get another 1st round pick or a very early 2nd round pick needed to be made to draft Cole.
