Josi, Dobson, Hedman, Rielly, Karlsson, Dahlin, Ekholm, Hanifin, Dunn, Theodore, Seider. Probably more but I got bored. Appreciate the 100 years of options but those were actually all last season.

Ok ok i failed badly on this one. He's still on pace for 23 primary assists. Only 13 Dman had more last season

So what does that mean ? Hutson good or bad ?

He's taking advantage of the situation for sure. Scoring at an acceptable rate of a top pairing guy is nothing to scoff at for a rookie.

But if you want to keep those top pairing minutes you can't be waiting for better teammates. Top pairing guys are supposed to be the ones who turn a team around. That's where peoples doubt comes in. Too me I doubt he can handle true playoff caliber top pairing duties. Size alone makes it a huge task.

Seems like a 2nd pairing PP specialist to me. Nothing wrong with that, its a valuable spot that most teams would be happy to have on the roster but it limits the upside potential. Montreal fans are seeing Quinn Hughes, other people are seeing Tyson Barrie

Been saying for a while that his ceiling is Torey Krug. Good offensive second pairing powerplay guy who is far too small and lost defensively to be a true top pairing dman. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just that delusional Habs fans have built him up to be a Makar / Quinn Hughes level guy which he will never, ever be.

Playing for another team would raise his stock dramatically.
why?

you think he would get the same toi or even games on every contender. some teams have 6 more established nhl defender and enough offensive capability on the blue line to not constantly feature him.

i personally think he wouldn't play as much on most any team in the league.

Does it really have to be one or the other?

? Celebrini is easily the best rookie playing hockey in the NHL.
Yeah not even close Michkov’s pp 60 is severely eclipsing him and he will never catch up. Clearly the superior offensive talent and Hutson isn’t out of it yet. The Celebrini hype is hilarious I can’t wait for these next few years haha. He’s better than Bedard and Michkov 🤣😂, sharks fans and followers were radio silent for weeks while he got caved for 3-4 games. It’s gonna be fun, hope he can find a way to stay healthy.

The “Celebrini hype” is nowhere close to where it should be, if anything. Incredibly good all around player already. By far the best 5 on 5 rookie going. Michkov is better on the PP and likely takes the award. DK has him at -200, Celebrini at +175, and Hutson at a distant +1200.

Incredible shift.

Really don't understand the hate Lane attracts. Easy to see why he's adored in the Bell Centre.

I am the furthest thing from a Montreal fan. This thread title was stupid and premature (but as ive said, it wasn't started by a MTL Fan) but if this kid is gonna have a thread on the mainboards, sure i'd like to see plays like that posted.

These posters are kidding themselves if they wouldn't be thrilled if a 20 y/o dman had a shift like that for their team.

He's certainly passed Celebrini in the Calder race as of this moment. I don't think it's possible to catch Michkov, but he's looking much better recently.
how is Hutson ahead when Celebrini has the same amount of points in 9 less games? let alone 10 goals!! (in 20GP)

This, on a very poor Sharks team
