Is there any precedent for a rookie player with barely 20 games of experience generating so many posts on the main board?

People are literally waking up in the middle of the night to write long analyses about how he's a bad player, with projections ranging from Victor Mete to Bobby Orr.

probably seems that way as you are more likely to pay attention to posts pertaining to your team.

off the top of my head I think there were more posts about Laine at the start of his rookie year. In both cases you had pretty rabid fans with a lot of hyperbole that tended to draw reactions and lead to arguments. But that's probably my own bias as I was drawn to them since he and the debates were inevitably linked to Matthews

Poor Sens fans. This was supposed to be their year. Now they just have a failed rebuild and one of the worst prospect pool in the league... NJD fans can at least point out their team is an actual contender. Sens fans are stuck crying in the corner

aww, thank you. Well that makes us feel a lot better. Still irrelevant to this topic thread with all the idiotic hot takes though. But appreciate the recognition none the less.

Yeah but why are those Devils fans so peeved? I mean what did MTL ever do to that team? I mean I've seen Maple Leafs fans defend Hutson on multiple occasions in this thread because of how weird those guys were acting. I mean sure the state of New Jersey is a shiat hole and last year was an embarrassment for their hockey club but still. Anywho can you imagine if they ever win a Cup again? They're already insufferable...
