Leaf fan coming in peace.

As we don't get a ton of Western Conference action around here other than VAN or CGY games during double header nights on Hockey Night in Canada, we don't see a ton of the Kings. Not enough to really talk intelligently about D pairings.

Curious who Doughty and Muzzin are most often paired up with. Do you Kings fans anticipate they'll see much time together at the World Cup?
Cheers

They are usually separated due to our depth. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were together since they are Corsi gods lol

Doughty was with McNabb and Muzzin with Martinez. During the 2014 season Doughty and Muzzin were paired together most of the time.

Thanks...: )
Who are they usually paired with?

Doughty was with McNabb and Scuderi. Muzzin was with Martinez.

I'm guessing Doughty will be with Muzzin at the WC and Burns with Vlasic. Too bad because I really enjoyed Vlasic-Doughty last time.

since we all know McNabb is slow of foot but we need him because he lack money and depth would these pairing be worth a shot just to see if we can get lightning in a bottle

Doughty-Gravel
McNabb-Muzzin
Martinez-Greene
Forbort
or
Doughty-Gravel
McNabb-Muzzin
Martinez-Forbort
Greene
while Doughty/Muzzin is a great pairing it leaves to average pairing whereas separating them can help create more depth... Also whats the story behind Deano looking to add Dan Hamhuis????

I think we would all be stunned if something like that actually happens, every year they go into July 1st linked to a couple big FAs (last year maybe being the exception) and the deals are too rich or they don't wanna come out west.

I know that history all to well but reports are making seem like he's ours.... I know he's a DL type guy but whats the word on this:help:

Im just wondering whats the story with martinez, i hear plenty about muzzin(from my home town) but almost nothing about martinez. Is he a top 4 d or is he playing above his slot. Would he be available for the right price..etc..

That's because Marty is a top-4 D where Muzzin is a top-pairing D.

He'd be brutal for us to give up because of his value and experience and underrated set of two-way skills. Guy is an underrated dream. But he crumbles in big minutes and gets banged up, which is why he's a #4.

We couldn't feasibly give him up without getting a lateral move back so a move hardly makes sense. I always move him in my fantasy packages for guys like Trouba, so we get an RHD that can be a #3 in return, but it's unrealistic to expect that for real. Everyone saw how messed up our D was with Martinez out in the playoffs; this organization is currently bones-thin at RHD period and only had Doughty-Muzzin-Martinez as tested top-4 options; Voynov's departure murdered us. Behind Doughty, our next RHD is McBain (UFA), Greene (LTIR and who knows if he'll come back), then...LaDue? Ebert? We're full of LHDs though. So TLDR Martinez COULD be moved for a similar part but it's doubtful, org seems to really love his progress this year.

Thanks for the valuable insight, i was thinking of proposing a bozak+2nd for martinez and cap dump but it wouldnt make sense if the kings are that hurting for expérienced rhd. Oh well no biggie lol
