Think Jones got banged up & was out for a bit. Someone might be coming of IR soon. Would probably waive Burroughs before Jones.

He seemed fine as a bottom pair D.

He was solid enough in the couple games he played. He got hurt and is just now coming back.
I personally think hes been better than Burroughs and Englund but Moverare just came in and took the #6 job from all of them.

Agree with the other Avs fans. I liked him as a bottom pairing D. Added a little size also to help balance our super soft D (aside from Manson).

He played so sporadically that you couldn't get a feel for his game. Blake hedged all his bets this summer, acquired RHD Burroughs in case either Spence or Clarke struggled, and kept Englund for LHD muscle when Edmundson (who is playing really well) inevitably misses some time. Jones was always the odd man out.

He should be claimed with how many teams are dealing with injuries.

Another former Oiler D out there under the radar is Ethan Bear. Playing very well in Hershey. No spot on the Caps roster. $2m cap hit is an issue but around the deadline, I could see someone be interested. I believe he's a pending UFA.

He's not as tough as Englund/Burroughs and isn't as good as Moverare.

He's just .. average . Not a bad thing per say but doesn't excell anywhere.

Probably how the org has it now yeah, though previously Moverare was at the bottom fo the totem pole inexplicably

I'd have it Moverare > Jones > Englund >>>>>>>> Spare Tire >> Burroughs

...which was probably his bigger problem, he's more versatile and less defined. Excellent #7-8, seems like Colorado fans feel the same way.

I thought he earned a bigger look but it was simply too many bodies and not enough time.

Seems wild considering they’re only saving 300,000. Someone will claim him at his cap hit.

Can't have 9 active defensemen, plus Doughty is supposed to be back in January. So, anyone interested in a slightly used Burroughs will be in luck in about 4-6 weeks.

You're right i was being too generous on Burroughs

Moverare has been great for LA !
