Welcome to the 4th Annual LainePeg WJC Pool! Hey people, welcome back to the pool, I've contacted everyone from last season and I'm pleased to say 9/10 will be coming back! We won't have a timer yet, but if the picks start taking too long a timer will be enforced. This can obviously change depending on the circumstances. I'm back to defend my dominant win from last season
A FEW NOTES:
- I am adding an extra rule, call it the compassion rule. If your player catches covid-19 at any point before the tournament, the moment it is reported, you can select any player that has not been selected yet, you do not need to wait until a replacement draft.
- I am also adding an extra player slot that we will call the emergency slot. You can use it in the case that one of your players catches covid-19 during the tournament. They will not count towards points unless your player gets removed from the tournament. You can select any of the three positions. This draft will be conducted AFTER the replacement draft. You will only select 1 player.
General Rules:
- 10 teams in the pool
- Teams will consist of 6 forwards, 3 defensemen, 1 goalie as well as an emergency player slot.
- Draft order for the snake draft will be generated through Random.org
Scoring:
Goal = 1 pt, Assist = 1 pt, Goalie Win = 2 pts, Shutout = 3 pts
- There will be a replacement draft at the end for players selected who are unreleased, cut, or hurt prior to the start of the tournament
- After you make your pick, please PM ("start a conversation" with) the GM making the next pick as simply tagging the person is not enough.
- There's no pick clock at the moment, but one might be added if we start running out of time
- Please feel free to PM me a list of a couple of players if you know you will not be around to make your pick
- There will be a 6 hour timer if we start running out of time. (With dead time from 1 to 8 AM that person's local time)
-If a person is routinely taking too long to pick, I will find an alternate to take the spot.
-Tiebreaker will be total goals.
-If a team selects a player that is already injured/confirmed not headed to WJC, we will allow repicks as soon as possible and others are allowed to keep picking.
-If a team selects a player that has questionable WJC status with no confirmation of participation/ no participation and that player ends up not participating, they will have to be replaced after the draft in the replacement draft.
